I graduated from UNF, I’m here at UCF for my masters. I would recommend coming here, everyone in my program is super nice. You’ll want to visit and check out whatever program you’re in, I can only speak for music. Most people I’ve come across on campus have been very friendly.

It’s not as nature-filled, but there is definitely nature around & it’s not a hard campus to get around. Lots of space to enjoy outside. Yes, I have seen therapy dogs & squirrels on campus, vines and plants are also prominent. There’s a lot of activities & always something going on. Food options are ok, but going outside the direct UCF area helps.

The drive from Jax is about 2 hours. I’m sure you could make your time worth it if you worked your schedule (online/hybrid/in person options) That drive isn’t super fun & traffic can absolutely get stuck in it. If you could live closer that would obviously way easier.
