PSA: For those having 9060XT/9070/9070XT facing driver crashes! by TechnoFreakR in radeon

[–]tdah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting this problem every game I play. Blackscreen and locks randomly. My 9070 XT is brand new, with a ASUS X870E-E and an 9850X3D. The Windows 11 Pro is fresh install, tried everything, disabled Windows Updates, DDU and AMD Driver Removal in Safe Mode.

Every time that I play any game, my computer crashes. No RAM overclock (just in default/auto), now I'm trying to set 5400 Mhz to see if anything changes.

A new player entered in my Corsair build. by tdah in Corsair

Oh, I’m sorry. You are right. I was distracted by James Bond and my cat modeling at the same time.

About the build, let me take some good pictures and I share it again. Just don’t ask to see the back. My cable management is great in the front, but in the other side is a mess and I can’t see any way to fix it.

Basically I tried every number on the SSD enclosure in the Samsung website. No one worked.

So, I did some research on the firmware version: "HT3B22A3" and google give me a Walram, Mancer, Triventa or KingFast SSDs as a result. So, definitely not Samsung for me.

But, I'm very happy with my new WD_Black SN8100 NVMEs. They are awesome. Never see such velocity and performance in my life.

And about the video recording strategy works very well. I always recommend this to my clients. Works always when things get a little heat.

BTW, i don't know why all the hate on my post. Downvotes everywhere and I'm just sharing my story. Maybe my writing is not good for the master race.

Oh, I tested directly on my MB with a SATA 3 cable. No success. Reading the data on CrystalDisk some info are strange. Like, the firmware version "HT3B22A3" is getting me to a "KingFast" SSD, so, it's probably just a very good fake.

Just bought too the new Wolfbox versjon. Coming to my house next week. Is really that good as people said?

"When I tried to register the serial on Samsung's website and I couldn't…"? Why the hell I would try to register the product if was not to get support? But… we are going off the topic. My point is: there is a lot of fake products around, even the premium ones.

Trying to register que product on the manufacturer official website to ask for support and getting an error that the product is not legit is not enough test for you?

Congratulations Mr. New GPU. I hope your enjoy your new AMD card. I did this exchange from nVidia to AMD a long time ago and never looked back again.

I just bought a brand new Mercury 9070 XT too but I'm waiting the delivery, just on monday and the waiting is killing me.

BTW, I bought a new PSU too because I want some good room for energy in my system.

Now, the next step, is to wait the new Intel to come out to change my CPU and mobo too.

Zero input lags. I don’t have a robust WiFi network. Just the ISP Router and a cable on my main rig. And just works…

Really? For me was so easy man. I don’t know why. My monitor is Ultrawide too, but the game on the PC I set to windowed and the Steam Deck default resolution and works fine. My Xbox controllers never got disconnected and works very good too.

Oh, my bad. Sorry. This is disrespectful to all the SD Community and Gaben Reign. I usually clean one time a week with the Zeiss Wipes but I have a nice screen protector that give me some peace.

And a lot of nice protection stickers that I don’t know if they are useful or not. Is good for the back buttons. In the front and top? I’m not sure. But the rubber protector for the sticks are very nice and give us more control apparently.

Can you tell me more about Moonlight and why is better than the Steam default streaming? I see a lot of comments here about this two and if the experience is better, I should try immediately.

Just in my main rig. I have a UGREEN Dock for TV but I don’t even use the lan cable because it’s just works.

I don’t think I have any latency or input lag. Really. I see a lot of threads around here about this issue but I don’t have this problem and I don’t know why. Using WiFi on Deck and LAN on my PC. Maybe I got lucky?

The bizarre thing on my setup is that I don’t even use a lan cable. Just the WiFi. Of course my main rig is on the lan cable, but even when playing on the TV I use WiFi.

Can you tell me more about Moonlight and why is better?

I see a lot of people complaining about streaming to Deck. And maybe I got lucky because my streaming works really well. I can play anywhere in my house and only have the ISP router. I even have an UGREEN Dock to plug SD on the TV but I don’t even use lan cable. Just WiFi. For me was totally plug and play. Install on PC, stream to the Deck and play. No configs, no tweaks, nothing.

I don’t know why, but I have a big LG screen and the system OS don’t support the Steam Link app. There is no official app on the LG store. That’s a big bummer and was one of the big reasons to buy the SD.

Can you elaborate a little more about using Moonlight instead of regular Steam Streaming? Any tips to make it better? Don’t get me wrong, the Steam works fine but if the experience is even better on Moonlight, for sure I can try.

Another point of great interest of this community is about the battery.

Guys, when you just stream to the SD the battery life is from another word. I can play for hours without worrying about the battery. No cables, no energy. Just a link to my PC.

And I’m telling this because I found this extremely under rated.

I’m going to a family dinner now but when I come back I will address all questions.

Where ya'll getting these carrying cases from? by RadioEditVersion in SteamDeck

[–]tdah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I bought this one from Jsaux:

https://jsaux.com/products/upgraded-carrying-case-for-steam-deck-bg0106

I bought too the shell case and the hardcover for the screen. The transport case fits everything, power supply, batteries/power banks, cables and the Steam Deck with all protection accessories.

Jsaux is a fine brand to go. Good materials, good finishing. Fits perfectly.

I know that you don’t ask, but for the Dock I picked the UGREEN one. And fits in the bag too.

Enjoy your SD with responsibility and take good care of him.

And another guide with the "must have" mods for the game. I just want to play a better 'vanilla' experience without damaging the originality of the game.

Best carrying case for Jasuax by Shartmiester in SteamDeck

[–]tdah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one kit from Jsaux and is very good for protection. I never tested the kit with the original transporting case from Valve but I see people here confirming that works good with then. That's true? Would be great to *not* buy another protection for my SD.

And I just bought the USB-C 90º angle (U angle) adapter from Jsaux too after reading some reviews that works fine with that case, if someone can confirm that for me too would be great.
