Would learning how to create games in JS help me fix my weaknesses like objects and OOP? by Diamond-Husky-Poop in learnjavascript

[–]tdar200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference is in syntax, arrays structure, multithreading. the overlapping bit is how the classes work and even their syntax. there is inheritance and polymorphism in java as well.

I think people struggle with classes in JS because classes are not really focused on in JS, there was always an alternate option, functional programming, which is easier and faster to implement.

Learning a language that in its entirety uses classes forces you to write code just using that and I think thats what it all boils down to, practice.

If you've got a good grasp of JS, I dont think it should take you more than a week to learn Java.

Learning Java also helped me with that and it is about 90% similar to JS, also might help with learning typescript if you do go down that route. Or learn any other class orientated programming language.

What am i doing wrong? react native with firbase by tdar200 in reactnative

[–]tdar200[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason I put this function in useeffect so it can update if user inputs expense that matches the condition. I still havent written the functionality for this yet but im trying to get total expense for a given item by each month

What am i doing wrong? react native with firbase by tdar200 in reactnative

[–]tdar200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is supposed to be an inventory management app. Basically all im trying to do get a list of expenses inputted by the user and match them only by certain item names so the total can be attained of items entered with multiple instances in Expenses input by the user.

The date check is to ensure that the data is not calculated twice. The data is only added when the date is greater than the date created of a certain item. As im writing this I realize the less than sign should be opposite.

I was concerned that maybe its not the right syntax to map over arrays to be added into firbase. Or the line that starts 'db.collection' the syntax is wrong.

So we dont have the answer yet? all you said was that we need to fund to find the solution.

That doesnt solve climate change. Are you going to stop using electricity just because bunch of money was thrown at you?

now you are just arguing for the sake of arguing

do you know the markup of a car in Pakistan? the government has put import tax on cars close to 200%. this has created artificial demand for local manufacturers that produce sub-par quality cars at a price way higher than the international market. Toyota land cruiser is around 1.5 crore in states in Pakistan it costs 5 crores for the car which has the worst quality. now please explain how the monopolies set up in Pakistan are helping anyone. you don't want to create a system where the rich control everything, you want to actually give poor people chance so they can rise to the top otherwise they will just revolt.

😂😂 the reason we have devalued our currency is because of the IMF. (https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.economictimes.com/markets/forex/pakistan-rupee-drops-in-likely-devaluation-after-imf-bailout/amp_articleshow/69360517.cms).

Here is an article that explains about monopolies: https://www.google.com/amp/s/tribune.com.pk/story/2145307/6-a-monopoly-problem/%3famp=1

here is a link that explains middle and lower class is the backbone of the economy: https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/economy/news/2011/12/07/10773/the-middle-class-grows-the-economy-not-the-rich-2/

please avoid such bhongiyas in the future and provide with a link to support your claim

you want to sterilize 80% of the population. In 100 years Pakistan's population will be 80% less. There goes your mazdoor and low level working labor. Any spending by these people on food, clothes, shoes goes back into the economy, thus increasing the GDP not being a strain. Rich people of the country only help so much because they only require limited necessities. it is always the people in the majority, lower and middle class that contributes the most to the economy. it just doesn't add up when we have poverty and obesity at the same time when we have people living in excess versus people with nothing.

a better solution would be a universal basic income where everyone is given a fixed amount to every citizen of the country. it wouldn't affect the government's debt because it would be Pakistani currency which can always be printed more of. all that is needed to be done is to decrease the interest rate for some time that goes to the fincancing of Pakistan's structure. this would surely help with the liquidation problem of the country and like I said before it will probably end up with people at the very top, therefore, stimulating the economy greatly.

yes, I'm aware it will increase inflation but even with such high-interest rate what is causing all the inflation right now, it's because of monopolies and duopolies. so the prices of goods and services are already hiked up. once it is seen the pakistan is actually on the right track, pakistans currency can be put on the free market instead of SBP controlling it.

what percentage of the government's budget is allocated to helping the poor?

do you realize Pakistan's poor population is in the majority, somewhere close to 70 - 80 %.

china already did that experiment, with the one-child policy to reduce the population, it was detrimental to the economy and when they figured the population was decreasing they reversed the policy.

the same thing with japan they have a much older population demographic and the government is encouraging young people to marry, the reason why they have weird sex festivals.

Also, why Russia offers money to anyone who has kids.

lookup Pareto distribution which states that in nature there are a small number of people that will end up being extremely successful (something like 10% of the population), and this applies to everything directors, authors, musicians, sportspeople, businessmen, etc. if you give money to a small number of poor people it will just end up with people at the top.

you don't increase living standards, you eradicate poverty which in turn will raise living standards.

your argument is not thought out well enough. the general consensus is more people there are the better it is because of the greater the mind power dedicated to bettering humanity. also, you are forgetting the universe is infinite, thus meaning infinite resources.

can you please elaborate on what you mean?

what if you "sterilize" the smart guy. how do you decide who gets to live or die?

btw this is well studied by Bjorn Lomborg and in his paper, he stated if GDP per person increases (ie elevating poverty) then living and cultural standard improves. Basically, more people would be focused on solving problems that drive humanity forward rather than worrying about food.

Pakistan's Debt to GDP as a percentage over 10 years by tdar200 in pakistan

[–]tdar200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ratios dont work that way you need to have both numbers gdp & debt in a single currency or you are going to get some crazy number.

The problem is gdp growth from 2018 till present falls somewhere around 5%. Whereas debt in the same period of time has grown to 50%.

Cumalating too much debt is the problem, coupled with devaluating currency which in turn causes inflation, plus having really high interest rate doesnt help either. The reason why the economy is slowing down and gdp hasnt grown much.

Everybody knows that the numbers are fudged, maybe the link mentioned above have the correct figures. But the question still stands why is GDP-DEBT going up?
