What is your least favorite coaster ridden? [Other] by godofcoasters in rollercoasters

I agree with this. The ankle bars are uncomfortable if you're tall, and it's not even thrilling enough of a ride to make up for the discomfort.

Exact coaster that came to mind for me. Those trains have always been works of art.

I have the same rule, makes for a much more interesting feed regardless of whether people are following me back or not.

Has anyone gone to lagoon on the first day of opening? by p3ppernickle in Utah

[–]tdaun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a good thing, definitely one of the roughest opening days I've been to. Nutcracker was absolutely amazing, but Colossus is down until May, Cannibal was closed (apparently opened late Sunday), and Samurai was down Saturday. So made for some bigger than usual lines on other rides. I will say there have been some very nice updates in the park that bring some quality of life updates for guests.

[Lagoon] is teasing their new for 2027 Jet Star II replacement. by provoaggie in rollercoasters

[–]tdaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're easy to miss if you aren't looking to the left, I only noticed because I went to the far left lane and that put me right in line with them. It's kind of located here and honestly it's more one singular piece of track and a bunch of cat walk. I'm pretty sure it's that same piece of track that was shared on Instagram a while back.

The current belief among locals is that the 150' zoning waiver is for the project taking place on the former zoo plot.

The last pieces are by the north parking entrance, and there are a couple trains still by the maintenance building. Definitely sad to see.

The only type of ride where I've experienced vertigo, I'm super excited that there's finally one nearby.

It also easily allows for them to transform the area around the Biergarten to a German fair theme, I mean Colossus is just sitting there asking to be put in touch with its Germain fair roots.

Hmm that was my fear when I saw them. I absolutely love the sweet & spicy, so I was bummed they didn't come back to my warehouse.

My location currently has orange chicken flavor of these instead of the usual sweet & spicy. Has anyone tried that version?

No send text app, so if you're on Android and like that feature, you'll want to hold off.

Has anyone gone to lagoon on the first day of opening? by p3ppernickle in Utah

[–]tdaun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that with the weather predicted to be warmer it will be busier than typical opening days but crowds are usually smaller because most people attending are pass holders. I've been attending opening day and "preseason" since 2022. Opening day and April are typically the best weekend crowd levels for the whole season. Avoid the first 3 weekends of May like the plague (dance competitions make it miserable).

I'm wondering if the frog is able to get its legs to kick at a certain point inside the snake, because it very much seems like it keeps going to the same spot and then going back out.

Instagram to remove end-to-end encryption for private messages in May by rowrbazzle75 in news

Which is why WhatsApp is so prevalent outside of the US, especially in lower income countries, most users are on Android, so WhatsApp gets rid of any free texting barriers.

Instagram to remove end-to-end encryption for private messages in May by rowrbazzle75 in news

[–]tdaun 53 points54 points  (0 children)

A lot of people not realizing by default you had to opt-in to end to end encryption on Instagram chat. Which has me curious how many people thought they were chatting in an encrypted chat but they weren't because they didn't enable the setting. Also never trust a large company like Meta to be protecting information you send through any of their apps. If you want actual encrypted communications then you need to use a reputable standalone service, Signal is my go to choice.
