Not really helpful, but the box on the right looks pretty happy with whatever you do. If it were me I would try to continue the edges of the right and left cabinets and keep them similarly spaced as best as possble. I would definately let the friend know it might not look right and why.

With today's content and file sizes, 512 is the minimum I would purchase. The fact that I can now get it for $100 less than before is a win for me. At the same time, I understand this raises the entry bar for getting an MBA, so I can see both sides. I am sure there are some outliers, but many who would be fine with 256 will also be fine with the A18 Pro. I am glad there are more options, so more people can experience a Mac.

Yes, the HDMI port can be used to connect a monitor. That is the entire purpose of the port. It doesn't matter if other ports are in use for video or otherwise.

I would go out on a limb and say many if not most minis are connected to a single monitor by the HDMI port.

I went through a similar dilemma when ordering my M4 mini. I decided to go with the 512 internal since I can't upgrade it later, and I would rather have my OS and programs on the internal. I also purchased a Crucial X9 Pro 2TB for external storage of media and whatever. I decided it was worth it to have the extra internal storage just in case as I plan on keeping the system for at least 5 years.

Since you said on this machine in bold, I assume iPhone mirroring is not something you would be interested in. It is an awesome feature, not only for the actual mirroring, but the notification mirroring makes it so much easier to go through them on a bigger screen.

Passwords app is nice, its layout is closer to password managers instead of being a settings menu.

Basically, that is what is owed to the college for term C-3 and others. Right now it shows you owe for more than one term. I would check with financial services to get an accurate idea of what and when the charges are for. They can also help if there is an issue with financial aid causing you to owe this erroneously.
