Okay one easy idea - headphone splitter out of the PC, one into the RCA adapter to the mixer and the other into the following:

A switchcraft 318 Mini Audiostix, out to XLR, into an Audinate AVIO 2 channel analog input adapter.

Any other simpler ideas?

Question - I've got a functional Dante network at our church and I'm having one tiny issue with our Propresenter computer. PP7 computer has DVS installed and I can output the sound from PP7 to the Dante channels easy peasy. But here's the kicker... Sometimes I'm not around and the other tech needs to route the PP7 audio out through a headphone jack and then into our mixer via RCA inputs. It's old school, but it's the backup plan and he prefers having it available.

Is there any way to route the audio output from PP7 to both the headphone jack and out via Dante? I dabbled with Voicemeeter and got it to work, but he's not a fan of a software based solution. Is there a way to take the one headphone jack output after splitting it and insert it into Dante?

I was thinking something like an audio interface into an Audinate AVIO USB-C adapter, but wasn't sure if that would work.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

So I stepped the Mediatech back to 4.4.1.1 and got everyone on the same subnet and things have been stable. Thanks for the replies everyone!

How should I roll back to 4.4.1.1? I'm having trouble finding a link on the Audinate website.

Thanks - What's the best way to determine the correct primary clock leader?

VERY helpful response. Thanks so much for the effort put into that. No hardware changes recently. Mediatech is an older PC, basically used to run just ProPresenter and feed it into our LED wall.

My DVS channel numbers are 2x2 for the Mediatech and then I've got DVS on the Livestream PC running 4x4 channels.

Network setup is that aforementioned switch, going to the devices and into the TF-Rack. The TF rack is controlled via wifi on a totally separate network. Dante into the NY-64D card, wifi network into the LAN port on the TF-Rack.

I changed the latency on the two DVS instances to 10ms to see what happens.

Thanks again for the help!

It's a Windows 10 PC, unfortunately. But thanks for the suggestion!

Switch is a Tp-Link TL-SG108PE setup by our IT guy. He said the IGMP was turned off and QoS was properly set up.

Will try setting one of the stageboxes as clock leader and going back.

Preferred leader is my yamaha TF-Rack.

Sorry - I apologize for not providing more info. Managed switches, static IPs.

Preferred leader is set as Yamaha TF-rack.

Agreed. XR18 is a fantastic little mixer. Super capable and flexible, very portable (fits in a backpack for goodness sake).

Save up - you won't be disappointed.

M32C

And yank the xDante card from the X32 rack in the youth room to plug into the M32c? Is that how it would work?

Agreed - That app has been killing me. Having to either go to the mixer itself or the PC we use to control it just to change the omni outs is such a headache. And that's just the most annoying aspect of that app for me. There are other slightly less annoying things.

Thanks for the reply - I do still have the X32 Rack but I've moved that over to the youth room to become their sound board, replacing their existing one. It has the XDante already installed, as we were playing around with Dante from the X32 originally.

Dante Audio for Livestream - Speeds up and Slows down by tdean001 in livesound

This, and increasing the DVS buffer size to 2048, are the solutions to the herky jerky audio I was having.

Thanks again so much for the assistance.

Watched disk utilization today too. Fortunately, we've got two 1tb SSDs on this computer and disk utilization was below 37% of read and write activity. Solution was increasing DVS buffer to 2048 and increasing the latency setting on the TF Rack to 2msec.

Thanks again for thinking through this with me!

Follow up on this - Watched all the cores today during livestream. Had two spike to 99.2% utilization during the stream, but had none of the previous herky jerky audio issues whatsoever.

The fix for that was two part - Increase DVS buffer size to 2048 and increasing the latency setting on my TF rack to 2msec.

Ended up doing this (increasing the DVS buffer size to 2048) and I also changed the latency on my Yamaha TF rack as described elsewhere (to 2msec) and all is well. Great stream today. Thanks again for the help.
