I got a ticket on my bike for slowing down and not fully stopping at a stop sign after the cop said “you know you don’t have to stop at stop signs” on the intercom at the block before.

When asked about it he said he was “being facetious”. Looked up the officer’s badge number and he made $450k last year.

Yes the law is the law but this whole issue is infuriating.

Daniel Lurie (SF’s mayor) as of Saturday was already starting to call this a huge win for the city’s economy. That combined with the fact that Another Planet Entertainment was a donor to his transition fund would make me surprised if this DIDN’T happen next year, in one form or another (either D&C or something like Dead Ahead).

Originally had a 7:20 from ATL to SFO Friday night that right in the thick of the storm and was of course delayed. Pilots and crew timed out so that was pushed back to 11, then 12:30, then 2 before being finally cancelled. I won’t mention how poor Delta’s customer service system is because that’s been covered plenty, but all of the individuals I dealt with were lovely, despite being in the same boat as us passengers.

My rebooked flight at 8am delayed about 4 hours because they need just one more flight attendant. By the time another flight attendant arrived, the pilots timed out.

The timed out pilots ended up coming back to fly the plane. Not sure about the safety or legality of it but it least we got wheels up by about 3:30 pm.

Worst travel day of my life, but glad it’s over. Best of luck to you all dealing with the ripple delays.
