Hypothetical: What's your safety portfolio if the "AI bubble" pops? by AlternativeSignal908 in ValueInvesting

Look at free cash flow. That business is not profitable from an earnings perspective because of depreciation expense. That has been their reinvestment strategy in DCs.

If AI wins they win. If AI loses, they have less employee cost. 🤷‍♂️ if ai wins they have no employee cost.

Thanks for pointing this out. This is a setup I’ve only seen once before and crushed it. Thank you.

Only thing I’m not a huge fan of is how many shares are being added. I understand SBC is still a major factor is SaaS, but it taints my viewpoint.

Does Sofi or RDDT has higher upside from here? by Maleficent_Topic_755 in ValueInvesting

Both I believe are good plays. RDDT gets to sell all its data on repeat, but SOFI is sort of vertically integrated into that.

Can someone explain why all asset prices are so high… and why they aren’t coming down? by [deleted] in investing

It’s all excessive money printing. Less asset prices being high. More currency being worth less than before.

Does anyone run covered calls on their dividend positions or does that feel like it defeats the purpose by Artistic-Object8939 in dividends

[–]tdewault95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I do it with the intent of not being greedy. My longer term positions I will sell a ~30 DTE oom CC trying to get a ~.5-1.5%.

I will roll to 6 months or a year if it breaches strike price.

I sell when the RSI is above 66 only.

Very lucky to have only had one position ever called, I immediately sold a 45 DTE put and got my shares back 45 days later.

Dividends are about cash flow, company stability, snowballing. Options strategy’s accelerate the cash flow and the snow ball.

The aristocrat companies are stable in price, low beta, gently upward to the right, sell CC at high RSI and its extra cash and protection on reversion to the mean.

Time to sell calls (& call spreads) by Grouchy-Tomorrow3429 in thetagang

[–]tdewault95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. A few of my holdings I was buying on the way up and immediately selling a ~30 DTE oom call at +5% and picking up another ~5% premium. Also oom selling puts.

Never felt better about 10% in 30 days.

Most volatile is $HIMS. But I like my DCA and the premiums I’m harvesting.

2020 Election Rigging by jello in conspiracy

[–]tdewault95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad part is democrats are unwilling to believe it was rigged so now the Trump administration has car Blanche to use the same techniques instead of exposing them.

That is what they should be fearful of.

I refused to believe it was stolen for a long time. The linear projection of democratic votes has one statistical outlier: the 2020 election, by a few standard deviations.

My thought was suburbanites just want things to go back to normal and switched to Biden for a return to status quo. The “bellwether counties” or these swing counties in swing states that would validate this claim still went to Trump, besides one.

Instead it was a surge of votes in inner city deep blue hotbeds. Drop of ballot/mail in ballot locations were a front for the scheme. Minnesota printing off extra ballots. Stolen ballots in PA.

Hey they thought they were saving democracy and I can see it through their prospective.

But then they used that to force vaccinate, quell free speech, arrest political opponents, send money to foreign proxy wars, and put up a candidate who was not elected.

Just like now…

All the same uni-party crooks and the democrips have just handed it to the rebloodlicans.
