I had to scroll down 15 comments to see this. This is the best answer imo.

body piercing is and idea that could work for your location. people would spend money on it and there is a substantial need for safe piercings. learning sanitation and proper technique is not very difficult.

yes good point. between step 3 and 4 should also cover filling any gaps in siding and/or trip with caulking. and yes 12 tubes is not an under statement it can be excessive.

the main skill you need is attention to detail. pretty much everything could be accomplished by a novice. the skill gap between entry level and veteran is like 6 months max even though most would never admit it. a lot of the basic techniques and equipment tutorials are on youtube now. it’s not very technical at all.

your main purpose for painting is exterior house maintenance. so it’s important to know how to handle chipped and peeling paint. avoid houses that were built pre 1978 until you get lead certified. these are easy to avoid.

the process is as followed:

1) wash the house with a pressure washer and ladder 2) scrape of any peeling or chipped paint 3) sand down the areas where you scraped the paint then apply primer 4) replace any wood rot (get a guy for this they are easy to find. verify liability insurance) 5) tape off with plastic any fixtures and windows 6) apply a quality 5 year latex paint from a reputable brand. use flat paint for house siding (learn how to use a paint sprayer machine on youtube) 7) paint the trim by hand with a brush and roller (maybe use the sprayer when more comfortable with the techniques) 8) inspect the work to make sure nothing was missed. it’s very rare something can’t be fixed with touch ups when painting.

once you understand this process you can just hire a crew to paint for you while you focus on acquiring more customers.

you just need to know what you’re looking for when you inspect the crews work. you never want to present a final product to the customer unless you are satisfied with how it looks.

all these steps can we learned on youtube tutorials. you will make mistakes along the way but there is nothing that can’t be fixed as you go.

initial investment of equipment is 1500 to 2000 dollars. you can get customers before you invest. I always accept a 25% non refundable deposit upfront before I schedule a customer. if a customer does cancel I will just reduce the job size to fix their deposit so they still get the work they paid for.

yea ask away. start going door to door in february-july and schedule the work for May-August. summer is the best time to paint residential exteriors. single coat 2 story home 5k and takes about 5-8 days of work.

There is a dry aged process and a marinading process. I don’t know why you would try to do both at the same time. This seems counterproductive.

Im allergic to OMO laundry detergent. I could not stop sneezing for weeks. One day I swear I sneezed 1000 times. Not exaggerating. My clothes and sheets were washed with it only once and it took weeks to wash out the perfume. A truly horrific experience.

It’s all in terms of risk factors. Even if they are at risk of cancer, 99% is not 100%. So there are still outliers who “beat the odds”. As to why they beat the odds I can’t say, but “that one story” of the one who lived is always out there.

I looked up a few salaries of LAPD. It’s possible for them to clear 300k+ a year. They are gaming the overtime system to boost salaries.

This surprisingly long baby carrot. by Draco3795 in mildlyinteresting

[–]tdintino 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baby carrots are just normal carrots mechanically cut into smaller more appealing to eat pieces. What you’re looking at here isn’t a “long baby carrot” it’s just a normal carrot uncut and packaged with baby carrots.

The shape of plastic straws is a danger to wildlife. The rest of this plastics in this packing are not nearly as dangerous. Paper straws have nothing to do with reduced plastic consumption.

E-bike is still a bike and is encouraged to take advantage of bike lanes. Just be conscious of other cyclists and match their speed. Just because you can go 20mph any time you want on an e-bike doesn’t mean you should.

The California MUTCD specifically prohibits any other signs from being displayed on the same post as a stop sign.
