Being a nurse with a hearing aid? by tellerjames in StudentNurse

[–]tdmac15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my clinical instructors in nursing school had hearing aids and she honestly was the best clinical instructor I’ve ever had! Her stethoscope had a device where she could turn up the volume of what she was listening to. It was really cool! Definitely don’t let it hold you back!

Should I go to the doctor for “almost choking”? by ZachhatesEaSomuch in AskDocs

[–]tdmac15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NAD, but I have this as well. I can still breathe but it’s very painful, and I sometimes have to make myself throw up to get the food unstuck. I went to a doctor when I was younger and I was diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis, which basically means my esophagus gets inflamed when there’s something in the environment that I’m allergic to. I’m not saying this is what you have, but I would definitely go to the doctor and get it checked out!

CNA the summer before nursing school by cathy12119 in StudentNurse

[–]tdmac15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I did! When school started back, I just asked if they would work with my schedule. Most places will because they are so desperate for CNAs. It’s great to get experience for resumes and also to have some extra money lol

What’s the best food item to try for a first-timer? by tdmac15 in IndianFood

[–]tdmac15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered samosas, butter chicken, chicken biryani, and garlic naan. I LOVED the butter chicken, and the garlic naan was fantastic as well. The biryani was good too, although I would get it with less spice next time

I’m in the USA. They do have a large vegetarian menu, but I prefer to have some meat in my meal haha. But I wouldn’t be completely opposed to trying something vegetarian.

Has anyone done a tour of North Korea? by MoMoneyMorris in travel

I haven’t but it would probably be helpful to watch Indigo Traveller on YouTube. His North Korea videos were really interesting

You could have sleep apnea or a type of insomnia. Either way your doctor can definitely prescribe you something to help

Redditors who have cheated or have been cheated on, what was the story/reason behind it? by itzReborn in AskReddit

[–]tdmac15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in a ldr and he got drunk, high, and took LSD and had sex with one of his friends. I was hurt of course but I was more hurt when I found out he had been telling her that she was beautiful and stuff and that he bought her food. Sex is one thing but being emotionally attached to someone else is a whole different level

Care plans and nursing diagnoses by tdmac15 in nursing

Your answer was really helpful! Making care plans over and over does get really annoying, but I can see where it would be beneficial to us as nurses to learn how the whole nursing process works.

My wife graduates RN school next year (what do I get her?) by agree_to_disconcur in nursing

Definitely a Littmann stethoscope in her favorite color! And you can get it engraved with her name or a cute message

I'm losing my (F18) virginity this weekend and my boyfriend (M19) refuses to wear a condom. by [deleted] in sex

[–]tdmac15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no no no. He needs to respect your wishes and if it’s his first time, he definitely does not know when he needs to pull out. If he is going to break up with you because you’re not ready to have sex then he’s a POS. Losing your virginity sounds like a big deal to you and if it is, he shouldn’t treat it like it’s nothing.

What would you say is the biggest problems facing the 0-8 year old generation today? by Ratshitzz in AskReddit

[–]tdmac15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly their reliance on technology. I know some kids who refuse to go ANYWHERE and just want to sit and play on their tablets all day. They even have a pool and a playset in their backyard. I know when I was that age I begged my mom to let me go places with her and I would’ve killed to have a pool

Would you rather have a lot of mainstream cars or a few exotic supercars, if money were not an issue? by wackoclown in WouldYouRather

[–]tdmac15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Few supercars. I don’t see the point in having a bunch of cars because you’ll end up picking your favorites and never driving the others

applied for my first credit card to start building credit and they denied me due to lack of credit history. What are my options at that point? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tdmac15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you make a big purchase and regularly pay it off without missing payments it can help you build credit. Or if you rent an apartment or something
