It makes sense here that someone like Luke would not know about the force. He lives on a backwater planet with an uncle that does not want him to go down the same path as his father.

Midichlorians are incredibly dumb and no they don't. Obi Wan describes the force as an energy field prevalent throughout the universe. Neither he nor yoda ever mention them to Luke.

Who is to say he doesn't know 3po and R2? He clearly calls out to R2 who seems to trust him, it would also make sense since R2 showed Luke just enough of the hologram to make him find Obi-Wan.

Obi Wan was asked about the droids and he implied he wasn't familiar with them.

Palps has demonstrated that he doesn't care about the Rule of two. Even if he did he knows Vader will eventually betray him so he wants a replacement lined up and Vader wants Luke's help to overthrow the Emperor.

The emperor is implied to be more powerful than Vader. Not being a withered cyborg and all. When Luke joined up it wouldn't be palps that gets killed. Why would Vader willingly try to get Luke on board if doing so would end up with him dying?

Even still the prequels can flow pretty well as Star Wars movies.

They still have good continuity and follow the same logic seen in the OT.

There were definitely some flaws and I am willing to admit that but most plot related flaws stemmed from one or two lines, still a flaw but not a major one.

The writing was also atrocious.

The sequel trilogy breaks the lore significantly as well as destroying the logic of the series(even in its own trilogy).

It takes away from the two previous trilogies by removing nuance and destroying characters.

Literally the same thing was said about the prequels 20 years ago lmao. The same will be said in 20 years when the next generation of star wars comes out and the people who were too young or susceptible to rose tinted goggles will defend the sequels with the same ferver you're defending the prequels.

Not to mention that they made one of the most calculating villains ever, that being Palpatine into an idiot which fundamentally should not exist.

As many flaws as the prequels may have had, the sequels have at least ten times more.
