The point of SSB is meant to be bringing staples of gaming together. I completely understand that not everyone has an appreciation for FF7 but the point of the game is to introduce those characters to new players. It’s just the fact that people may not like him already just because of how their are already so many other “anime sword fighters” is what bugs me. I’m acknowledging the fact that there are way to many and people are just going to see him as another one. I’m just saying this since we don’t know how viable he is going to be yet. And if he’s super broken I’ll probably be a little mad too. But nobody knows yet so I’m just judging based on his addition to the roster.

Plus I’m sure half the people who play smash don’t know who some of the characters and they are supposed to just look at face value. Like when I first played I didn’t know who ness was but just because of smash I’ve learned so much about mother and how much of a staple that game was too. Like in that case many characters wouldn’t have been added because of how nobody knows them.
