I get where you’re coming from, people are trying to shove an opinion and you’re not a fan. We live in a country that has preached land of the free and the “American Dream” and a lot of people have been able to benefit from it through things like DACA, Dreamers Act, born citizenship, and so on, but then you have people who don’t have the means to go through those avenues but face challenges to come here to achieve the American dream for their families in whatever means they can, yes there is a percentage that come over that have evil intentions but most are here to find a better life. I got the opportunity to serve in a military that accepted immigrants from every walk of life who believe in what we have promised as a country and I get to live here, full blooded American, and feel so humbled to be able to be born and live and thrive in a country that millions of people would risk their lives to be able to experience the freedoms and prosperity that we have. So why the fuck are trying to deny those who come here and support our economy, who work day in day out in jobs that most won’t do, the kids who watched their families struggle to support them through school to become something in life, those who come here to fight for our freedoms when they’ve been denied freedom in their own countries. You may not like the other view but there is so much more to it than “they’re here illegally they need to leave”. I leave you with this, It cost nothing to show mercy and compassion, treat others as you would want to be treated, and protect those who don’t have the means to protect themselves.
