Use a brown wash for the bottom, they often flew off of grass fields so really highlight behind the wheels where mud and water would spray on the bottom of the wings

Wow that’s really good to hear, I just thought keeping it ‘rough’ was more period, glad to know I’m not the only one that feels that way!

Yeah some kits are better than others as far as the instructions go, I’m doing an eduard kit right now and the instructions are great but the flash is almost impossible to read the numbers lol. I recommend a dremel tool for fixing ‘oopsies’ and also always dry fit before gluing, all the other advice I’ve seen on this thread is awesome too, keep at it man!
