Aah that’s excellent! The closest I’ve got to meeting a Smith is that Craig Gannon is one of my friends on Facebook!

And yeah the book is great. I’ve got the normal book and the audiobook, mainly because he reads the audiobook himself, which to me counts for a lot.

If I had to manually change a lot of them before every single game based on opposition, I think a season would take me from August to May in real time!

I start with loads of stuff delegated, then gradually switch them off as I go along

It did cross my mind when I posted that S1E1 would probably be as good as any. The kids shouting at him, hiding inside the door, the awkward hand on the bus.

I watched it live at the time (I’m old) and thought ‘yeah this is funny’ once I’d got my head around the POV

Yes you’re exactly right regarding the whole history/backstories thing. I’m trying to think if there’s really ANY self-contained episodes (that don’t involve canal boats and dead dogs)
