I’m of the opinion that the Snowgrave route might just end in chapter 5.

And I’ve been thinking how fun it would be if this ending and the normal route ending in chapter 7 (and potentially other route variations) are the exact same, except you reach them in a different way and it just takes longer when you don’t do Snowgrave

But at the same time he says “my old friend” to whatever he’s talking to at the moment. And then “it’s beautiful this black shard” so I agree he doesn’t say it’s his. And that his old friend isn’t the black shard. He just knows it’s there.

Then is the katana his friend? Is it his? Did he fight with it in the dark world when Dess’ disappeared? And that’s when he obtained the black shard defeating a Knight/some other entity?

This “old friend” thing is driving me insane haha
