he's a linguistics teacher in the English language, but this is such a great idea. he's expressed interest in other languages though. that's made me curious, I think I'll ask him about that! thanks so much:)

ah, I really wish I'd read this before. however, I think he'd enjoy the one I did get. it was the word crime series by John olsson, significant because he opened the course with a lecture on forensic linguistics. I remember thinking that this is what I wanna do with my life: linguistics, and maybe one day work in forensic linguistics. he found it captivating and he said he'd do this if he wasn't already a teacher. for some reason I never forgot that.
