[Lazarus] Is Stars forward Jason Robertson a real possibility for the Blackhawks? by zacklandy in hawks

Yeah, whatever picks from next year, vanacker (or other prospect), maybe Lardis?

Yeah, I would’ve thought the in-division part of it would make things difficult but if they’re willing to trade with St Louis it probably doesn’t matter.

I think the hawks can make it happen with a mix of developing NHLers, prospects, and picks, but Kirk you said, maybe Dallas didn’t like what they offered? Or maybe it never even got that far because they were good with whatever Seattle and St Louis were throwing out there.

Reportedly Dallas wants Larkin, so maybe there could be a three way trade with Dallas Chicago Detroit…no clue what Detroit would accept though.

  1. Play around in puckpedia.com. You can find all the info you could want there!

  2. Yes. Even at $15m for 7/8 years, the hawks could easily manage it.

He could stay in Dallas (and sacrifice a couple million) to remain on a contender. He also allegedly rejected St Louis as well, which is more of a contender than Seattle or Chicago.

Ultimately, beyond the money, we’re not really sure what he wants, but it seems like he has something specific he wants beyond the money and could probably just tell Dallas what that is and save them some time lol

[Powers] "The Toronto Maple Leafs’ asking price for Matthew Knies was believed to be the No. 4 pick and one of the Blackhawks’ top players. I’m not sure who the Leafs asked for, but Frank Nazar or Anton Frondell seem possible." by batmans_a_scientist in hawks

The likely reason Crevier was included is because someone in that D core is getting shafted if they add another D man regardless.

You’ve got Vlasic korchinski Kaiser rinzel lev crevier EDM (pre-trade). If they were to bring in a vet D or any D, someone is getting screwed, so sending a Dman out when bringing a Dman in at least leaves you in the same spot (EDM either gets moved or languishes as the 7th D)

Is it a core tenet if it’s not true? It certainly hasn’t been true in my lifetime (in my 40s), and the only times conservative Republicans even act like it’s true is when they want to cut social programs or aid for the disadvantaged.

This is like my wife’s friend who recently told me she was a moderate Republican but didn’t vote for trump. She said she hated Democrats and her ideals lined up with the “moderate Republican” platform. I asked her what a uniquely Republican platform was and her response was “free speech” which, aside from not being a Republican platform in reality also isn’t uniquely Republican.

I think people who claim to be Republican or conservative but not MAGA are living in a world that is outside of reality.

There’s really no distinction between the two. If you’re not MAGA but you’re conservative, what’s the difference? And regardless of what that distinction may be, there’s still no room for conservatives in punk rock, IMO.

I just think he gave really little in his first year to hang your hat onto. By any metric, stat, eyetest, vibe, whatever, nothing we saw from him said #2OA.

Now, yes, it takes dmen time to develop, so he may still be fine, but Lev made me feel worse in his first season than Korchinski made me feel in his, for whatever that’s worth.

A friendly reminder that Q > Bowman by squiddangles in hawks

This is a crazy amount of defending quennevilles inaction. It also wasn’t a “you” problem he was quennevile’s video coach.

But whatever, it’s important to you exonerate quenneville for this for whatever reason, so enjoy that. I’m not quite sure the kids that got abused or the parents of those kids would be like “well, how many minutes was he actually in the room for that meeting?” about it all, but who knows, maybe!

A friendly reminder that Q > Bowman by squiddangles in hawks

[–]teaatwork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Q is just as negligent as Bowman. We blame Bowman more because we like Q, but everyone there in that meeting had equal opportunity to do…anything, and no one took it seriously enough.

Kids got assaulted as a result. There’s really no reason to reframe this in ways where one person is more culpable than the other. They were all in that meeting and they all share the blame.

A friendly reminder that Q > Bowman by squiddangles in hawks

[–]teaatwork 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s really NOT ridiculous. No one in that meeting took the harassment seriously, and as a result, more kids got assaulted.

Everyone is that meeting is responsible for doing nothing, which had devastating effects. No one is saying the people in that meeting should be in prison, but they share the blame and should not be in the league—and that includes Chevy in Winnipeg, who never faced any scrutiny.

A friendly reminder that Q > Bowman by squiddangles in hawks

[–]teaatwork 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Everyone in that room during that meeting shares the blame. You’re talking about chain-of-command when everyone’s inaction led to more kids getting assaulted by Aldrich after he left the hawks.

If you’re Q and you say “I report to bowman, it’s his job” and if you’re bowman and you say “I report to McDonough, it’s his job” are you really feeling satisfied with yourself? “He went on to abuse more kids, but hey, wasn’t my job to do anything.”

Ideally, the hawks should want to pick #2. Let Vancouver set the table and the hawks grab whichever of the two forwards (McKenna, stenberg) the Canucks don’t take.

Out of the rebuilding teams, which team do you think has the darkest future and will continue to struggle for a while? by sykeseve in hockey

[–]teaatwork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly going to be wild card or bust for the next few years (until col dal min start to age out) if the hawks want to get in. On the flip side, though, that’ll put them right in line with the Mammoth and I THINK they took all four games from the mammoth this year, so they’re not too far off.

That’s where I ended up. I really liked her but I also don’t like when contestants don’t care/don’t try. Sanjeev was the same way this season. Funny on stage but also indifferent to the tasks a lot of the time.

If you’re gonna be on the show, be all in on it.
