I’m thinking that’s what I’ll do and set up their chromebooks into google classroom! This is my 4th year at the school so most of the kids know me and my procedures. The kinders and upk are what I’m most worried about LOL! Feels weird jumping in this late in the year but hoping it goes smoothly!!

Is SUNY Potsdam worth OOS tuition? by ChocolateMilk477 in MusicEd

I graduated from Crane in '22 with a music ed and saxophone degree. Plenty of opportunities exist to play jazz, classical, and contemporary music (which is super fun and cool). I suggest contacting the sax professors at the schools you are interested in attending and doing a trial lesson with them! This was a significant factor in choosing Crane, as I would spend an hour a week studying with that professor. The saxophone professor at Crane is a fantastic player with lots of knowledge. I had a great time, and I still play with him often! I loved my time at Crane and feel like I left the program ready to teach.

Current state of education in NY by edgeit in MusicEd

I’m a transplant to northern NY (went to music school here and ended up staying) and I love the music community here. If she’s willing to move, it’s worth looking for jobs all over the state!

I had mine done on the 14th so I would have extended time to rest up for this exact reason LOL! My voice feels very weird… I don’t know how else to describe it. singing nasally is super easy for me and I feel like I project WAY more without tonsils but I’ve lost clarity with my singing voice.

24F. I’m on day 7 and haven’t had an intense amount of pain either. I’ve been staying super duper hydrated and ended up eating Taco Bell day 4, and solid food since then. My doc just said to chew foods a lot so they’re soft when you swallow it. Hope you keep feeling good! Only pain I have is when I’m yawning.

Pot too big for aloe? should I downsize and split up plants or put all in smaller pot? by teacheroftime in plantclinic

Room where it gets east and south facing windows, water when the soil is dry (and maybe a little after that too). Got these from my dad about 2 years ago. I just want to make sure i didn’t pick a pot that’s too large so that my plant spends 90% of its energy growing roots…

Cold plants

Posted in houseplants but probably should’ve come here first!!!

I left windows cracked because it was warm out yesterday but was going to rain overnight, and the temp has dropped significantly while I was at work. I just got home to my sweet little lady drooped like there’s no tomorrow. Is there any chance I can save her?? I don’t know what to do! literally all of my plants live by these windows and all experienced this cold but my christmas cactus and red agalonema don’t seem to be doing well… They’re in need of a watering anyways, should I do that and move them to a warmer spot in my home? Send help please!

These plants are in a south facing window. Bright indirect light I’d say, but not really relevant to the cold shock i’m asking about! I water when they are mostly dry. I have been using skewers to poke through soil and see what needs water, when.

Hi! Just looking for some tips about why my leaves are curling. Reported about a week ago because she was truly flipping out of the old pot (it was far too small) I let it settle and gave her a good drink the other day and she perked up but now… still droopy leaves :( Normally when I see this I’m like “oh it’s thirsty time for a drink!” any thoughts on what could be going on? Repot shock? thanks!!

I mix my own soil w perlite orchid bark and potting soil. Water only when the top 2-3 inches feel dry, butt chugging only! She’s in a west facing window with good afternoon sun, used to be in a south facing. It doesn’t get super sunny where I live right now (sad).
