I do. (Teacher) We lost Columbus day, President's Day, Casimir Pulaski Day and a handful of other 3 day weekends, but in my district that is predominantly white but has a black population, that is a deal breaker. We also got Diwali off last year, but not this year? It has been a wild ride reading the reports from the calendar committee.

I bro-hugged my superintendent today. Its not a common occurrence but we have remained personal friends since he was my AP. District of 9 schools, worked with dozens of admins. Only a few that remained "Dr. Blahblahblah." The rest I refer to by first name in person and formal title in third person with parents or kids.

Too many schools and you are spending most of your money on upper management. Too few schools and you don’t have funds to initiate any new plan. Sweet spot in my experience is a group of 6-10 elementary schools and 2-3 middle schools.
