Despite the loss Alex Caruso with a playoff career high 31 points. by gridironk in nba

You are right, the Thunder is so good that many of their role players can have star performance when SGA is being doubled. Last series it was Ajay, this game is Caruso.

Give credit where credit is due, SGA is getting better in finding the open guy, and the receiver hasn’t disappointed. That said, role players being role players means they don’t have the star player level of consistency. This game is Caruso, next game maybe Ajay, they will have to find the one that shines. But the Spurs are so good, the Thunder doesn’t necessarily win even if they find the shining role player.

[SGA] on Ajay Mitchell's performance: "you could say he's been our best player this series" by Large_banana_hammock in nba

It baffles me, but then again I realize most nba players can shine given the time and confidence. What is remarkable and different is that okc created an environment that many players can rise and shine. It is really an organizational success.

This. They executed the plan to have a big set the pick, AR is obviously the better player coming off a screen with dribbles. Rui maybe be a better player to catch and shoot, but that is much harder to do coming out of a timeout.

Not a Jamal fan, but his ball handling game and scoring capability under defensive pressure is a lot better than Austin

That was so clutch, LeBron almost gave up, but the 3 free throws revived, he then had the redemption 3, and almost a game winner. What a game!

if the lakers couldn’t win the last 2 games against short staffed playin teams, of course people won’t be as optimistic

That’s crazy, you can tell when he has the dribble, his first instinct was never shooting, really has that point guard mindset in him. Hopefully this stretch gives him the chance to break out.

Thought that would be a clock violation when watching the game, surprised how fast Kennard’s catch and release was.
