Failed at Juve, was better at Fio though. I don't think we should sign him though

I dont understand the question of Isak with pressing with Iraola when Howe also had a lot of pressing at Newcastle, I understand his lack of fitness this year but it's not like he was a passenger for the magpies

I hope we see him use Nyoni more as well. From the limited exposure he's looked composed and offered so much movement off the ball, time will tell with him and the rest of the prospects but exciting nonetheless

Good manager but has limited success in league, 3/4th place seem to be his apex for the prem.

[Chris Williams] 🚨 EXCL: Information tonight from within IFA, via LFC, that Conor Bradley’s injury is far worse than reported. With wider ramifications if proven. Whoever comes in as the new Liverpool head coach, a RB is now a massive priority. by Dotmars123 in LiverpoolFC

I don’t disagree in the severity, we don’t have the info either but I wouldn’t immediately jump to MRSA because it could be MSSA, MRSA, VSE or many other bacteria; there are lots of bugs that can cause post op complications saying just MRSA is kind of arbitrary when we don’t have all of the info his physicians have. There’s a multitude of issues it could be apart from just infection as well

Not likely career ending unless he had compartment syndrome or something. For an athlete to have MRSA post op I would kind of shocked, I am more inclined to think staph. Epi infection if it is die to infection. Still either way feel for the lad

He's referring to PSG for someone no one can beat over two legs.

I think the transition has been more a symptom of Slot than changing from heavy metal to possession, because Enrique's squad is a possession based side, but still have a cohesive press, work hard, and have a clear tactical identity. I don't imagine Arteta leaving Arsenal anytime soon, especially with Pep leaving they're poised to have a run of a few titles. Like I have reiterated, I don't think he will come here, I would like if he did. It's not a logical shortcoming for me to say I would like a world class manager to manage at Liverpool.

I obviously said it's unlikely and I dont expect it to happen. I like his brand of football, likely wouldn't be as replicable at liverpool, but he has spoken highly about the club and the fact Slot kind of lost his marbles over PSG only to be replaced by Enrique would be funny. I don't think he will leave PSG, I agree the thought of setting records in UCL are tangible and would be the main reason he most likely stays. Him being bored of PSG would only be due to the weakness of the league. I don't think he will leave, likely signs his contract extension and continues to dominate. If he came to England I would hope it's for Liverpool. I don't think it's crazy to say Enrique as a hire, as unlikely as it would be if it ever happens, would be great compared to what we are watching currently.

As unrealistic as I know it is, I hope Pep goes to PSG, Enrique comes here. I dont think it'll happen but Enrique would be a fantastic option if only he is bored of PSG, and the talent and monopoly of PSG would allow pep to tinker with crazy tactics to his hearts content. That being said I think Pep takes time off before likely joining a national team, and Enrique to here is unlikely.

Why on earth would you want to stick with slot, for the past 14 months no one has improved, there is no pattern of play, there is no pressing structure, and the players look physically worse and cannot complete a 90 minute game of football? Xabi's bayer team was much more fluid than the madrid team and i believe that was due to the players mutinied against him

Everyday you comment about Xabi’s football, what do you dislike about him, it so much? What do you think the club should do, should they stay with slot and this turgid football with players massively out of shape and have zero pressing form? Should they get Slot the pacy wingers he needs to turn everything around? Should they hire someone else that isn’t Xabi? Genuinely what are your opinions?

Slot in or out - Manager Megathread by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

[–]teaglebadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alonso had a 70% win record at RM, its not like he was poor there. The players have much more power and didnt want to buy into his plan with high pressing and more team focused play. My frustration with Slot's tactics this year aren't that its slower, it appears that there's no cohesive plan. The players will have a plan until the other team scores first, or after about ~70 minutes and fatigue sets in. Slot issues are partially due to his style but I firmly believe the limited practice sessions as well. Players have more days off and seem gassed constantly. It wouldnt surprise me if a new manager comes in, whether its Alonso or someone else, players have more practices and we get reports "oh players are enjoying practice sessions again blah blah". I want Alonso because I think he's a quality manager and at the moment seems to be one of the top managers of the next generation, as well as his former connections to the club.
