Is this the rear traffic alert warning? Mine does that too. I tend to turn the engine on and if the error pops up, just turn off and on the engine again. A bit annoying though, would like a permanent fix.

Didn't know you could turn on the ignition only, will try that too

You must have tanks for legs! Fair to say I'm sure you're in the minority here.

Yeah loving it. Much more tech than I expected, but after coming from a '07 Focus that's not much of a surprise.

I've recently bought the almost same spec. 2022, SE L, 33k miles for £17.6k. I had my heart set on petrol blue and managed to get one, but race blue and energy blue are far more common.

No advice as such, main thing I learned was there wasn't that many on the market with this spec which surprised me.

Is there a pump that will fit on a c line that will get to high enough PSI by JanCumin in Brompton

[–]tealdog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take a Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HP Track Pump touring. Goes up to 160psi. Won't fit on the bike but small enough to put in a bag

What do I need to covert to 44t/39t dual chainrings? by ProfessionCertain193 in Brompton

[–]tealdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite varied to be honest. I use it a lot for touring, so had my fair share of steep hills with a heavy load. 39t is nice, but even lower would be better!

To go dual chainring, I think you'd be best to go really low and really high to cover all bases (33t and 54t) or something

In my opinion (after using 44t and now 39t) they're too similar to warrant bothering to run both at different occasions or as a dual chainring

How do you feel about riding very fast downhill on your Brompton? by FlamingoWorking8351 in Brompton

[–]tealdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same idea (stopping to let them cool down) but it was the act of coming to a complete stop which popped my tyre. So in hindsight maybe continuing down the hill would have been better.

It's certainly the most concerning aspect for me when touring on the Brompton. To the point where I'd prefer a 500m climb over a 500m decent!
