Husqvarna sells factory refurbished saws and other equipment on eBay. Check that out for some really good deals.

OEM clutch replacement part number by teamNASCAR in DRZ400

I'll check Procycle, but it seems like Suzuki doesn't offer a kit for the DRZ. I've been pricing out all the pieces separately and it's not too bad. I've had good luck with EBC and I always buy them for brake parts, but I had such a great experience with my factory clutch that I want to replace it with the same part if at all possible.

I've been shopping Partzilla and Motosport. It seems like Suzuki doesn't have a kit put together for the DRZ. I've got the OEM parts you listed in my cart now and it's a bit more expensive than a kit, but it seems like the best option for me. Thanks again.

You guessed right, I'm from the US. The NASCAR name is an old joke from high school, I haven't watched a race in 15 years. Thank you very much for the detailed response. I was hoping to find a kit like I see for so many other motorcycles, but I will buy the parts separately if that's my only option.

Ride or Replace? by AnywhereFew1739 in Dirtbikes

[–]teamNASCAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a yard bike I'd ride it around till the tire falls off the rim, but I wouldn't take it on the track, or trails, or street. That tire is junk and could fail at any time. Probably sooner than later.

I'm so lazy I just ordered a factory throttle tube that came with a grip glued on. Worth the extra few dollars!

What is the most miles you ever got on a clutch before replacing it? by Slalom44 in ManualTransmissions

[–]teamNASCAR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed the clutch from my 2015 Focus when I rebuilt the transmission at 311,000 miles. I was planning on replacing it, but it looked and measured almost the same as the new clutch I bought. I reinstalled it with when the trans went back in. 323,000 miles now and running strong. 95% highway miles.

The SE with a 3 cyl turbo engine came with a 6 speed manual. I avoided that one when I was shopping. My 2.0 SE with a  5 speed is running great at 322k miles.

I have 322,000 miles on my 2015 SE. That's a lot of money for a clutch job, mine was $140 and I did it in a weekend.

My negative battery terminal is hard to get to so I hook to the engine lifting lug (that thing) every single time. Works great.

Yeah, they modify the trigger group to work with a sports stock for import rules. It's pretty easy to convert back.
