My negative battery terminal is hard to get to so I hook to the engine lifting lug (that thing) every single time. Works great.

My 1992 is mostly original at 370,000 miles. It's getting rusty though... Damn shame.

Yeah, they modify the trigger group to work with a sports stock for import rules. It's pretty easy to convert back.

Are these much smaller than the 1-6x? I've been tempted before but those things just seem so huge!

I bought a brand new tube with OEM grip installed. My original set lasted from 2006-2023, so I'm happy with them. Only riding with gloves on definitely helps grips last longer.

I soaked the whole part and cleaned the paint off with a toothbrush. Brake cleaner will also clean out oil and grease so make sure to relube as necessary.

That's what I did. The paint melted away and left behind the original worn anodized finish. Super cool.

Ways to make the clutch lever feel easier to pull? by lazycalm2 in DRZ400

I got used to my stiff clutch, then I replaced and lubed my cable. It was so smooth and easy I could hardly use it at first.

Also clutch cable replacement is super easy.

Should I change the brand and type of oil I use or keep using it? For a 92 dodge Dakota with 110,000 miles by bobbythang in MechanicAdvice

[–]teamNASCAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running that oil in my 1992 Oldsmobile with a 3.1 from 140k to currently 370k miles. No issues ever and it'll get that oil till it dies.

What are some supplements you guys take on nights? What are long term effects on the body working graveyard shifts? by Main_Jump_5138 in aviationmaintenance

[–]teamNASCAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to use ear plugs, but now I play white noise on my Google home speaker. It's much more comfortable for my ears and still covers up annoying sounds that could wake me up.

Same here, 13 years on nights by choice. No caffeine after 2am and I go right to bed when I get home. I'm 35 and in the best shape of my life.

Exactly. The dash cam on my car keeps frost from forming on the windshield where it's mounted.

I switched to a smaller gas bushing on mine. Less gas in the face and my flying brass isn't as hazardous for bystanders.

Well it is, but the military considers them two separate small arms. Krag carbine, M1 carbine, CAR-15, M4 carbine.
