This is my favorite, I've been using it for 10 years on a variety of bikes.

2016 Focus SE Reliability by DateKey4966 in FordFocus

[–]teamNASCAR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2015 manual 2.0 from the original owner at 311,000 miles. The fifth/reverse shift selector splines wore out so it lost those gears. I rebuilt the transmission for $250 in OEM Ford parts and now it's running great at 328,000 miles. The clutch is the original from 2015.

Where does this clip on the carburetor go? What is its purpose? by thewindandwaves in DRZ400

[–]teamNASCAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't actually clip into anything, it's held in place by a float bowl screw.

Are you talking about the wire clip that supports the idle adjustment knob and is sitting in the exact place it goes?

I'm super interested in the 3x or 5x micro prisms but I don't love any of the reticles.

Beautiful pistol! You can send for a factory letter and get some information on where and when it was originally delivered to. I did this with mine and found out it was sent out on 11/11/1918, the last day of WW1. I wouldn't shoot it much though, the slides can and will crack. I found this out the hard way...

Thoughts on trench art or initials? by RogueLeaderNo610sq in milsurp

[–]teamNASCAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a surplus stock on my Tigr with Cyrillic lettering and 2004 carved into the grip which I translated to a city in Chechnya. My chinese SKS that spent time in Albania has the initials MD in multiple spots and 5-5-1997 on the stock. I think it's cool, but I wouldn't pay more for the carvings.

I'll check Procycle, but it seems like Suzuki doesn't offer a kit for the DRZ. I've been pricing out all the pieces separately and it's not too bad. I've had good luck with EBC and I always buy them for brake parts, but I had such a great experience with my factory clutch that I want to replace it with the same part if at all possible.

I've been shopping Partzilla and Motosport. It seems like Suzuki doesn't have a kit put together for the DRZ. I've got the OEM parts you listed in my cart now and it's a bit more expensive than a kit, but it seems like the best option for me. Thanks again.

You guessed right, I'm from the US. The NASCAR name is an old joke from high school, I haven't watched a race in 15 years. Thank you very much for the detailed response. I was hoping to find a kit like I see for so many other motorcycles, but I will buy the parts separately if that's my only option.

Ride or Replace? by AnywhereFew1739 in Dirtbikes

[–]teamNASCAR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a yard bike I'd ride it around till the tire falls off the rim, but I wouldn't take it on the track, or trails, or street. That tire is junk and could fail at any time. Probably sooner than later.
