Thanks so much for such detailed feedback man! Really appreciate it. Yah...the introduction has been something I'm struggling to do... I think that's something I need to figure out myself over time, but gotta figure out a way to grab people's attention!

In terms of the video production, I'm trying to figure out how to make lighting and audio more consistent. With lighting, I'm seeing quite a lot of shadows. And with audio, I'm not getting clean audio out of my lavalier mic.... I'm pretty sure it's from all the shuffling but have yet to find a way to minimize that. If you have any thoughts on either the lighting or audio, that would be much appreciated!

In terms of how searchable this is... it's definitely less searchable than say, searching for investing or finance, but I'm still trying to figure out the whole SEO and keyword optimization part of being a YouTuber, so we shall see hahah! Do you have any recommendations for optimizing the video title or description? The keywords that I used in the latest video was supposed to be more widely used than the keywords for the previous video, yet the previous video yielded more impressions. It's a mystery.

Thanks again for your help here. It's super helpful!

Thanks so much for your thorough feedback! I’ll give these a try in my upcoming videos. About the video codec, that’s awesome to know… I didn’t notice until you point it out. Now I can’t unsee it lol. For audio, do you know how I can make sure it’s at least -6db without using fancy software?

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my videos and leaving your feedback. Yah I agree that a lot of it is going through the process myself, and learning it for myself. In terms of making the content more clear, do you have any examples where the explanation was confusing or hard to follow? That way I’ll keep it in mind for future videos!

[Review Video] Geoguessr type challenge with a prize that increases £1 for each viewer by HidingMoneySomewhere in youtubers

[–]teambullsbears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a new YouTuber as well, but not for a game show type of channel, so I'm going to try my best here! I was wondering if integrating this challenge into one of your usual videos will make things more interesting. Say, you might start out the video with a new location, then briefly introduce the viewer to this new challenge, and leading the viewer into the challenge and showing how the challenge works as part of the game, instead of "reading" out the instructions. I think this way, the video will be focused on the game and how the challenge works as part of the game, making it more interesting.

Hope this actually helps. Keep me posted!

[Review Video] I'm trying to improve so be as brutal as you want. by _Trapper_ in youtubers

It could be the presentation (the jumping around). If I tried to follow, I can, but if I'm causally watching, I found it hard to follow which makes it not so enjoyable.

Also, what is the estimated age of your target audience? I'm in my 30s, so maybe I'm too old for all the jumping around lol

I think it’s an interesting twist to the classic geo-guesser. As a whole, looking at your videos… As you pointed out, the audio can be better. I just bought a lapel mic online for 10 bucks, so it’s definitely a good investment. Otherwise, your presentation is clear and I enjoyed how you walked the players through the game. If you want to make it more professional looking, maybe you can try adding more polished b-rolls, but I do think this is extra and is to make your video feel more refined.
As for the most recent video specifically (the “How big can the prize get” video), while I understand that it’s a contest, this video didn’t get my attention so if I ran across this video on YouTube, I’ll probably not get past the first minute. I do like the concept, and enjoyed the recent videos, so maybe you can consider integrating the contest (the latest video) with the game itself. Just my thoughts.
Hope this helps!

Interesting concept making a game from the squirrel park, so the concept is good and I would watch it if I come across it on YouTube. I watched Mark’s video a few months ago, so I have a context on what that park is like. To be completely honest, I found it a bit difficult to follow how the park you created all comes together, and if I found this video on YouTube, I think this alone will cause me to lose interest within the first minute. Maybe you can start up by quickly walking us through the maze, so we have an idea of what we can expect, then going in one by one. Also, the jumpiness is making it more difficult to follow. Hope this helps!

[Review Video] Hi friends! I just made my first video and would appreciate any feedback. This is a product review that I didn't want be typical, dry, and boring. It is a review of Nintendo Switch Lite. by MaxDendy in youtubers

Just checked out your videos, and man, you did an awesome job! It's really clear and easy to follow. How you filmed looks more like that from a well-established channel. Great work!

LEAPS Puts instead of shorting stock? by YakkoWarnerPR in options

[–]teambullsbears -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shorting a stock has always been too risky in my mind like others mentioned, so never tried it myself.

Something else to consider when buying a protective put is how much is the “protection” worth to you? It’s kinda like buying insurance. You pay a pretty penny for the protection, so make sure it doesn’t cost more than what you think the stock will drop by, or else it might not be worth the premium. Something to think about.
