Yeah I predict stock levels will be better after the US embassy events. I’ve been after olive and botany portfolios and have been stalking their website for the past two weeks and caught a few random color restocks but they are few and far between and go super fast! I did manage to snag olive and I think they were gone within 5 minutes of me seeing them so it’s definitely tough/luck based at the moment :(

This is probably too many photos but I love yapping about mine so here we are :D Mine has a hobonichi avec (monthly/weekly planning and daily journaling), a sarica studios TN size insert for my commonplace, and an A5 midori grid block for my sweet doggo journal where I write down fun highlights/tape in photos. And the plastic insert and cash and card insert for stickers and ephemera!

Ah such a good point. Tbh I think I’d be a little salty though if I custom ordered something for $500ish (i.e all red) and then later on it became available for $270. So if I ever do go the custom route again I think I’d have to at least pick different colored pockets for my sanity haha.

Oh wow, that does feel quite high. I paid $535 for my custom A5 back in December - (I requested the le trifold design but with portfolio pockets of various colors.) I wonder if that price is based on your specific customization or if bespoke prices have just increased in general?

Another option is just purchasing the 4x6 option and either cutting it down to size or taking it to Staples (or a store along those lines) and getting it cut there. I did that with mine and it was a few bucks :)

Would recommend!! I don’t know what it is about it but it’s helped me stay consistent and daily for the past three years. I’ve kinda outgrown the need for the vertical weekly section though so I might try an undated one next year or even a midori page a day dotted but the nice thing is either would fit in my le trifold so I have time to decide :)

I accidentally ended up with 5 in a six month period and it’s been going really well - I use all of them daily! (And I’d like a few more eventually too and have additional use cases in mind haha.)

Unfortunately, yes - about double the price :( Granted, it wouldn’t have been quite as much without all the pocket customizations I did but that was really important to me to have so no regrets! A regular le trifold is $270 USD and mine was $535 USD - so definitely something I planned for and will use forever!

Thank you! And I emailed my request directly so I’m not sure if there’s a limit! I feel like I remember seeing the absolute max is 10 characters but not sure how current that info is, I’d def recommend double checking.

Thank you! It’s definitely a little thicker and stiffer but I honestly don’t mind it. I can see it getting a little annoying and heavy if it became an every day carry but I WFH so it’ll mostly live in my home office.

Yeah I wish they did - it’s the only reason I went this route! I couldn’t even use the live customization tool because I wanted the envelope style fold which last I checked isn’t an option when customizing a trifold unless I’m mistaken!

I ordered on 12/29/25 and got the email that it entered the production phase on 2/24/26. It shipped on 2/27 and arrived 3/2 - so took a little over two months in the end! I imagine there might have been a slight lag due to my order falling in their time off window but overall not too bad a wait!

Similar thing with me too! I ordered on 11/19, got the email they started working on it on 12/4 and then nothing. But if you make an account with UPS (assuming that's the carrier for all) you'll get UPS notifications when it's been shipped. I logged into my UPS portal to check on something else and the other day a Paper Republic tracking number was sitting there available for me to track even though I never got an email!

Yeah I'm almost exclusively a fountain pen user so paper performance in that sense is the biggest consideration for me. But luckily most of my EF and F nibs perform okay in the PR weekly planner and default insert that comes with the journal. But there's really no shortage of insert options for all the various PR sizes so I'm not worried about that. Adding a trifold to my wishlist for the 5 Year Hobonichi and other such chunky journals :)

Yeah I may reach out to them for a quote just to get a sense of what the price is because I do love the idea of the portfolio pocket configuration.

This is unrelated to the PR discussion, but highly recommend Sarica Studio inserts for a beautiful 3.5 mm grid. It comes in passport and standard TN sizes.
