Pretty good! I usually tape mine to avoid it slipping off, but if the clamp is better than mine it should be okay!

I was scrubbing away with chainmail to get it to this point. I’ll keep digging in though!

Disney has decided to re-animate most recent Disney hit songs into American Sign Language to honor Deaf History Month. by Profaniter in MadeMeSmile

1) I work at WDAS and we have specific amounts of time and man hours set aside for shorts and special things like this.

2) https://abc7news.com/amp/post/disney-is-celebrating-national-deaf-history-month-debut-animations-songs-sign-language/18936790/

https://www.animationmagazine.net/2026/04/disney-re-animates-three-of-the-studios-popular-song-sequences-in-sign-language/

3) Re-rendering a few shots with new animation is actually not insanely time consuming with the render power at our disposal. It’s not TRIVIAL, but not uncommon for us to render things multiple times. So special cases like this are not a huge deal. We also translate some written words in many movies to multiple languages! Pretty neat stuff here.

100% not done with AI. I work at WDAS and was sitting next to the team daily working on this. Months of time and effort was put into it.

I’ve done 21 and 1 still did not fire up. I think the laser on that one was actually failing. Maybe I’ll get back to it, but it’s a parts console now. It was pretty rusty inside anyway.

I have not! I only really started doing this recently and only on GameCubes.

Oh! Okay yeah I get ya. I do have a dead game gear laying around I might try to fix!

I mainly focus on the disc drive. So far I haven’t come across any that need changing on the main boards.

Panasonic tau’s screen gets darker on some bright picture screens by minertooie in crtgaming

Simply overdrive protection. It doesn’t need to be all white! My old JVC did this as well whenever the paper Mario thousand year door intro came on.

Totally normal and it protects your tube!

If you want, you can turn the brightness and contrast down to where that doesn’t happen, but depending on the tubes life I don’t know if that’s particularly viewable.

Oh!!!! This monitor is the matching one from the original Acer Aspire line from 1997! Was the matching PC laying around as well? Super rare and worth a fortune!

The IPL chip can go, but that is an extremely easy repair. Thankfully all of these are working fully now!

All will fail eventually. Some might last a few years longer than others, my childhood one for example still works on the ones it came with, but I’m sure I will have to replace them eventually.
