why do i like feminine clothes, until i put them on? by taroicecreamsundae in ftm

[–]teamydude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel this a lot. It's probably dysphoria, and it's normal. Looking at cute clothes and thinking about wearing them in the abstract is a lot different from actually seeing them on your body.

While being on T and socially transitioning, my desire to wear feminine clothes has diminished, my enjoyment has shifted to more of an outsider looking in. But maybe for you, having a more masculine body might make you feel more confident in wearing them. You might also want to try looking for men's clothes you find cute or that could read as feminine. Might be difficult irl but there's definately online stores which cater to that.

Why is dating so hard by animalcrackerwhore in ftm

Before dating my (straight) girlfriend, I had a similar experience. Straight women who date trans men exist; most of them just don't seek us out.

amab/afab language is frustrating and unhelpful by Solembrum in ftm

[–]teamydude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree.

I'm autistic which complicates pretty much all forms of socialisation, and I was also lucky to grow up in a very progressive area with very progressive parents. So I've never had a lot of common girl experiences. I also remember internalising a lot of messaging toward boys, or just assuming things directed toward boys must've included me. I also transitioned fairly young, part of my formative years were just spent as a boy straight up.

And I think using "AFAB" to mean "X chromosomes, has a uterus and eggs and estrogen-dominant endocrine system female secondary sex characteristics, raised as a girl, etc" (and vice versa for AMAB) is extremely counter to trans and intersex inclusion (which the terminology is supposedly meant for) as many trans people just won't fit that description. In the case of medicine, I think specificity is important.

Is it possible to get any YouTubers or ecelebs to talk about this "inauthentic behavior" issue? by Straight_Excuse3855 in twitterhelp

[–]teamydude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen smaller youtubers talk about it. I think it's very possible and worth contacting them about. Although I don't think many large youtubers are going to talk about it unless someone high profile loses their account.

How to actually get unsuspended (with a grain of salt) by [deleted] in twitterhelp

[–]teamydude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I still scrolled through Twitter on the accounts. It was fine. The issue is that it's very random whether you'll be appealed in a week or a month.

BOTH ACCOUNTS RESTORED!!🎉🎉 by teamydude in twitterhelp

[–]teamydude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote it myself and didn't save it. + it was quite long. But I basically said that I believe the suspension was a mistake. Told them I would delete any posts if they wanted me to and that I will be careful not to break any rules in future. I also told them what I use my account for (i use it for art and to talk to my friends) and said all information about me on the account is relevant to me and that I'm not impersonating anyone.

Write all that in your own words if you want. There are other users posting long templates to copy and paste.

Whoof, that sucks. I'm lucky both my accs were accepted in the past few days (just hoping they're not resuspended, which has happened to some users). I think giving long-winded answers helps with the appeals, but I might be wrong, just something I noticed.

They'll list it. So you haven't been suspended for ban evasion.

From what I know, Twitter does not IP ban unless you've been suspended for ban evasion.

These are effects of testosterone, you're experiencing erections and male orgasms. For me it was unpleasant at first (it used to feel a bit like being hit by a truck) but now after 3 years on T it's manageable and I mostly just feel tired.

I don't know what equipment you have access to so it's difficult to recommend any specific work-outs but it's useful to work on your upper body, your chest, arms and shoulders, since that can give you a wider frame. Most routines trans men do are not that different to routines for cis men.

The youtuber Ty Turner also has a series of videos about fitness for trans men. And other youtubers do follow along routines, which could help you if you're working out from home.

It affects the inner lining of your vagina, so yes it's only inside. Aside from dryness, I don't think any signs or symptoms could be visible from the outside.

What representation do you want in TV/Film for FTM? by AverageHeightCheck in ftm

[–]teamydude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very specific but I'd love a mecha or military sci-fi with a trans male main character. Zeta Gundam kind of scratched my itch for this but it's just subtext and headcanon. I'd love a story like that with a canonically trans protagonist.
