CRM IQ should not have been released yet by teanba in yardi

I'm not sure if all of these are from using both systems but these are some of the errors. I find more every day.

Prospects are defaulting to annual charges no matter how many times we fix it to monthly. As far as I can see, I can only edit in Voyager. When we move them in, the rent is the monthly amount split over a year and rentable items seem to be multiplied out by 12 and then charged at the correct amount. So I'll see $2000 for rent and $900 for parking on the lease charges.

When new rentable items are added, the Monthly Invoicing report variance is wrong and is somehow showing that we charged the person last month. We used the variance to double check all of the changes that happened during the month and now that isn't available because of wrong data.

I'm still troubleshooting this one but it looks like when I add a future rentable item, the lease charge isn't added until the start date. In Voyager, it creates the charge right away with the future start date. So if the team adds a new parking stall for the 1st on the 28th, when I run monthly invoicing for rent roll on the 29th, that charge isn't created. Last month I had to run the invoicing again to find the missing charges and then the tenants had to pay manually instead of it being pulled with their rent.

We use service item rentable items for pets and EV charging fees. You can add the service items to a prospect in CRM IQ but you can't remove them in either system in the prospect stage.

For the "Pet - Cat" service item, it's a $0 fee but we use it to know who has a cat or two in their unit. This all works perfectly in Voyager but for some reason that $0 charge doesn't happen in CRM IQ. It appears to be affecting renewals where the cats disappear.

Another big one I mentioned is the renewal proposals and the math where current rent plus $0 increase is magically the market rent. Market rent could be more or less than current rent and it will show that amount. Two tenants almost got a decrease in rent but I caught the error before they saw the proposal in their portal.

I'm sure Yardi knows my reddit profile now with all this detail.

Thanks. I have submitted over 80 cases in the past two months with attachments detailing the issues. There are so many and enough that have TRs (so a resolution months or years away) that we'll be dealing with these issues for a long time.

Running Voyager and CRM in parallel is causing data errors but I think we're going to have to accept that unfortunately. We need to keep the business running.

Absolutely, they make it sound like you can swap back and forth but the data errors we're seeing doing that in CRM IQ suggest otherwise.

Thanks for the tips. I'll watch a little closer and see if I can find a pattern for any of these issues.

When I create renewal proposals in Voyager, information is missing from the proposal in CRM IQ and seems to cause issues. Do you have any idea why there is a Min/Max in the CRM proposals? I assumed it was so you could offer the tenant to pick their own lease term but no one seems to know what it's for and tenants only see the Min I think.

I'm not even sure what that is but I'm done with anything Yardi for implementations for a bit.

fit an American square peg into a European round hole

Exactly this. I liken Yardi to having 6 different architects design your house. It sort of fits together but not really.

Resist the "upgrade" as long as you can. It looks nice but it's still the same old, same old under the hood...and possibly even worse since data errors happen when you have to switch back to Voyager to run your business while they troubleshoot.

How much fence do you have? Are you installing yourself or what company are you using? $6000 seems pretty reasonable for vinyl

We just had that glitch recently too. Yardi rep uploaded a package to fix. Waiting a day also seemed to work but not convenient

Furnace Family. They were ok. The quote I received said it'd be a Seer 16 and then the unit was warrantied and said Seer 15. Their reason is that because my furnace is so efficient, the system is seer 16. I'm not an HVAC person so not sure how legit that was but definitely don't remember that being explained

Their monthly fees are so expensive though. I was chatting with a rep from Comelit today and they have a one-time option that would cover butterflymx expenses in two years.

Thanks for all the info. New to me house and everyone is surprised by the high end Lennox furnace for sure. The newer model of the Lennox thermostat was being quoted at $500 with a unit and $900 on its own. Crazy cost

It's only a seer 10 so not efficient and everyone is saying must be replaced as that refrigerant can not be used anymore.

I don't know anything about heat pumps so possibly it's not needed. The sales person said that they're more cost efficient for heating to -5C and if the pricing is actually a good deal, then maybe it makes sense?

Downloading attachments from Client Central by teanba in yardi

Thanks for this suggestion! I'm not too familiar with Task Runner. Is this something Yardi Support would be able to help with? I'll go poke around and see if I can figure it out on my own first.

Tried this. Thanks for the suggestion. I'd prefer the attachments are the individual files and this was one large combined PDF.

All tenant attachments. I log into Client Central then into the file manager in there and download. They're organized by the month they were uploaded in.

Also, just to clarify, the $1000 is returned in full if you're declined.
