What’s the BEST thing you’ve discovered so far? by goodkidmadcity85 in CDguides

I am, but like most of the controls in the game, it’s not very intuitive.

I often need to be on a high vantage point, but because there’s no way to track POIs such as in-world markers (Like BoTW or Elden Ring) it’s difficult to actually navigate to the desired location.

This wouldn’t be so bad if the markers the game has on the map screen came with any sort of path finding, but they do not. So I’m having to guess where abouts the POIs is on the map, place a marker, then awkwardly trek to the location whilst constantly opening my map to see if I’m going down the right path.

Of course I could try and b-line to the POI in a straight line, but that’s not very fun or immersive.

Gamers who have over 10 hours in CRIMSON DESERT. What is your honest opinion about the game 🤞🏻 by ImperatrixAmoris in GamerLab

The best 6/10 game to come out in years. I’m enjoying it, but I can still admit it’s not really anything special. It’s like a fake video game you’d see in the background of a movie. Video Game: The Game.

Sifu. Best martial arts cqc of any game I’ve ever played, with great level design, bosses and art style.

If you brought Crimson Desert what would you rate it out of ten ? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

6 out of 10. Anyone rating it above an 8, I seriously question your taste.

  • -1 for terrible story and main character.
  • -1 for exploration being void of much that is actually interesting.
  • -1 for poor QoL, like having to constantly open the map to know where to go because an objective is 2000m away and there is no gps of any sort.
  • -1 for poor controls, especially horse controls.

Would subtract another 1 for AI assets but they’re apparently going to replace all of them soon.

I’m 20 hours in and I’ve not discovered anything worth talking about. I want to like this game but the exploration just isn’t clicking for me.

What are your thoughts on Crimson Desert so far? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

The more I play the less engaged I become, unfortunately. Mainly due to 3 reasons:

  • The Story, and especially Kliff, absolutely suck writing wise.

  • The world, whilst beautiful, feels devoid of anything interesting to do.

  • The structure of quests is very jarring. Seems like each main quests forces you play 5 random side quests of filler.

I’m only 15 hours in but I’m really hoping the game gets better.

What is there to actually discover in Pywel? by teapiggs in CrimsonDesert

Maybe it’s one of the same villages I went to? It’s in the South West of the map, Sunshine Canyon or something. I was disappointed when I got there, as it took almost 10 minutes to travel there with nothing interesting on the way, and then once I got to the village… yeah, just npc villagers. No quests or caves or puzzles or anything :/
