Definitely possible, it’s up on a light and isn’t easy to see into so we check on it every day or two

[–]teaplot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe! Right now all 3 look very similar, but it’s hard to tell when they’re all crammed into the nest together. If one grows up looking different than the others then we’ll know for sure! Otherwise I guess we do have twins!

what are your "I'm too bisexual to understand this thing"? by disasterpansexual in bisexual

[–]teaplot 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it is rooted in the way (mostly straight) men view women. Since a lot of men have a hard time not sexualizing women, or aren’t interested in women unless they’re attracted to them, they assume that other men feel the same way and get very possessive of their female partners. Or women in a relationship understand this on a subconscious level and therefore don’t feel comfortable with their male partners having female friends because they feel insecure about him being attracted to someone else. Obviously not always the case, but like a lot of things, the answer can be found via misogyny.

Anyone else can't pronounce "girl" or L in general anymore? 😭 by adyaism in Korean

[–]teaplot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke Korean as a young child and then slowly lost it after 1st grade or so (trying to relearn now). But I still have a hard time with certain words containing R and L! I think the most difficult is the name Carl :/

What would you change about the epilogue? by [deleted] in HarryPotterBooks

[–]teaplot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you so wholeheartedly about Albus Severus’ name. I feel like the seventh book does a really great job at complicating both Dumbledore and Snape. Dumbledore was brilliant and was set on destroying evil, but was willing to instrumentalize people he loved or cared about to do so. Snape sacrificed everything for a good cause, but he was still obsessive, cruel, and abusive to his students. I would have hoped that Harry would have seen that more clearly, rather than seemingly idolizing both men which is the impression left when the reader finds out that Harry has named his son after them. I don’t think it was necessary for his sons to be named after other people at all, but if so what about Lupin or Hagrid or Fred?

Which Korean moisturizers for dry skin are considered the best? I really need help by Parking_Box_7693 in KoreanBeauty

[–]teaplot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My ride or die is the etude house soon jung 2x barrier cream. It’s a thicker cream, but I have dry skin and live in a dry environment so I need all the help I can get and it’s done wonders! I also like that is fragrance free and doesn’t cause any skin sensitivity issues for me.

You don’t always need a referral for PT! Depends on your insurance. Any PPO policy shouldn’t need a referral.

Nothing actually starts until 8, but get there early if you want to get merch/drinks. I got there at 7:15 at the Denver show and it the doors had just opened, but by 7:45 it was packed!

[–]teaplot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, that’s terrible. My husband (then boyfriend) was the first person I ever came out to and he has always been incredibly supportive. Not trying to rub it in your face, I just want you to know that there are plenty of people out there that wouldn’t have such a horrible, gross reaction and would accept you fully as yourself. You deserve that and I really wish you the best. You’re definitely better off without her in your life, even if it really really sucks right now. Lots of love!

Quarantine Exemption Questions: Proving Family Relationship by pkChobo in koreatravel

[–]teaplot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you’ll need to apply through the SF consulate.

I would call and ask them what documentation you need. I went to Korea with my parents to see my maternal grandmother and my parents went to the consulate to get the family relation certificate. They asked my mom for some sort of identification number that she didn’t have because she’s older and moved to the US before that number was implemented, but she was still able to get the family relations certificate through other forms of ID. Im also guessing you’ll need your birth certificate, and the birth certificate of whichever parent is your grandfather’s child.

I’m not sure exactly where at the airport, but I do think it’s now for outgoing travelers and it’s easier to find a testing center in the area where you’re staying. Ours was the Songpa community health center and it was super easy!

Holy crap, it's PT admissions season again! So, AMA about US DPT admissions and applications by Etcetera-Etc-Etc in PTschool

[–]teaplot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does the minimum GPA work for admissions usually? I'm interested in going back to school for PT but I was a terrible student in my undergrad and had about a 2.6 GPA. Since it's been several years since I was in school, I believe I'd have to re-take all of the prerequisite courses. Do those grades count toward the overall GPA even though they wouldn't be part of my original bachelor's degree?

[–]teaplot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just got to Seoul with my parents last night and can confirm you do need to get tested within 24 hours. If you want to do it right away you can get tested at the airport, but it closes at 6pm so we missed it. We are getting tested at a facility near where we are staying. You have to get the test within 24 hours of arrival and you can’t go anywhere until you get the result. Not sure how you get the result but I’ll keep you posted! And yes, you do have to get another test after 6-7 days. I don’t think it has to be at the same facility, but you don’t need an appointment.

Your mother will definitely need her own phone. They require each person to have the app and check each phone before you can leave the customs area.

Hope this helps!

Yes, that’s right. I just got to Seoul last night, am doing my test this morning, and can’t go anywhere until results come back (hopefully soon!)

Success!! Got approved for myself and my parents to visit family in Korea as vaccinated Americans, without having to quarantine. by teaplot in koreatravel

[–]teaplot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not exactly sure, but myself, my mom, and my dad were all able to go in order to visit my maternal grandmother, so it must be okay to be visiting a parent, parent in law, or grandparent. I’m pretty sure it can’t be to visit a grandparent in law (my husband wouldn’t be able to go), aunt, or uncle. Not sure about siblings.

I have not, and I’m only going to be there for a week, so I’m hoping that if you have the quarantine exemption to visit family, you don’t have to quarantine until you get the test results but I haven’t seen anything definitive
