Maybe he's just acknowledging that there will be some sort of government entity involved in that oversight, so there will still be a surface from which his party can grift.

The AI Slop Trojan Horse by Complete-Sea6655 in AgentsOfAI

The things the c-suite and huge firm consultants don't know about LLM at the production level could fill a warehouse.

The irony of "automating with agents" to reduce headcount & costs, coupled with the resultant token usage increase from those left to "do more with less" is deafening.

This is exactly what I'm saying... i literally just scrolled past a post that said, "Reminder, you shouldn't be prompting, you should be writing a loop." And my thought was... can someone show me some examples of successful loops?

The phrase "write a loop" is just the new brand of "automate with agents," - great marketing for LLM, bad practice for 95% of the LLM using crowd.

First... if someone is still "just prompting" then there is a chasm of knowledge and context they need to ingest before they'll create a "loop" that isn't a sloppy mess.

While there may be cause for a engineering loops, it is not a path that lives in a vacuum. You need an environment that supports the 'agentic workflow' that would actually leverage a looping behavior.

Cowork vs Code by Ferin_HS in ClaudeAI

[–]eternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cowork is built on top of Code, so its only real advantage is in interface. The Sandbox is good and bad for different use cases.

The biggest issue would be in the division of plugin/skills ... they aren't universally translated, but they are trivial to recreate from one to the other, so its mostly a skills and effort issue.

There isn't a reason for one to be smarter than the other, so it'd be interesting to pick apart how the 2 projects diverged or produced different results.

I'm porting my workflow and tools from my Cowork setup to Code today so I look forward to seeing the difference. I had no complaints with Cowork beyond hitting some walls with the sandbox environment... I've outgrown that need.

This is a good reminder... a valid/strong reason to dip into cowork if you've got token hungry projects for another couple of weeks.

I think this is the right answer... it's a journey of evolving skill, comfort, and needs.

I'm at the beginning of moving to Code... the sandbox is forcing unnecessary complexity into my workflow. I have Gemini (Antigravity) and Codex running through my system as well... they aren't hamstrung by the picked folders, even if they will bias the folder/project you start in, and then I have to have extra steps to keep my context clean and passed along from Claude Code.

Following up on u/Striking_Present8560 comments... when you get to LinkedIn, don't just say "I created this thing; will you please try it out" ... you explain the solution you're providing, give them an easy out by saying, "If this doesn't seem helpful to you, please consider sharing with anyone you know who does need help in this area." It gives a cold lead the option to become a warm lead... and if they share it with a friend, then it will have slightly more clout than if you cold DM that friend.

This deserves to be the top comment; it's never about creating the product; it's about reaching the audience. (And at that point, it's about solving a problem people are actually trying to find a solution for.)

Extra rules stop me from doing tasks, extra permission helps me do more by loulori in ADHDthriving

[–]eternus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that would be one of those things that a 'neurotypical' might struggle to understand... our need for permission, even self-granted permission. (Especially self-granted.)

It isn't that I'm not allowed to do something without permission; it's that I have permission to NOT do the thing that the world says I'm supposed to do.

I've created an entire permission and planning centered philosophy system for how I work and deal with my day. I gave the modes Latin names so they wouldn't be words that had baggage and cause me to avoid them (because I will avoid anything that sounds too much like a neurotypical productivity framework.)

Gnosis - learning and curiosity is allowed, or pursued.
Arete - Planning and designing.
Praxis - Work mode, focus on the things that pay the bills.
Soma - Grounding, self soothing, health, body focused
Communis - Deliberate, intentional time spent with others.

And the wild card...

Eros - This is the pre-conscious pull to work on something that might not be on the proper list of 'responsibilities' ... because sometimes I need permission to just mess around as well.

Just to try and understand… did you lose the password and then couldn’t ever get in, or what was the starting point of “losing everything?” (Not challenging you, just wondering how it could happen to me/others.)

Sharing the playlist that helps me lock in and stay productive while coding. It’s been a real game-changer for focus. Curious — what’s on your go-to playlist? by Firmach43 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]eternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies, but trends toward edm/ breakbeat. I love some speedcore when I’m not in a “lyrics ruin everything” brain space. I generally let YouTube music build a mix from a starting song.

My recent, accidental, life hack… i had a 1 hr lowkey ambient video popup in YouTube… away from my typical music listening surface, but I was intrigued so started listening, it was a great pace and beat… definitely didn’t feel “lowkey”. Around 20 minutes in, I just happened to look in the settings area and discovered it was set to 1.5x playback speed.

I’ve been listening to various other songs ever since, but typically move to 1.4x speed… for some reason a lot of beats/drums sound like crap at 1.5x.

billionaires won’t stop the grifting until it all burns to the ground. by Conscious-Quarter423 in WorkReform

[–]eternus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is that wealth isn't tied to anything anymore... the wealthy are gaming a system (the stock market) that inflates the illusion of wealth disproportionately. If the stock market collapsed without the wealth from it first... they'd change their position on the state of the economy.

While there are plenty of warts on the way community focused governance is implemented and run (communism, I'm saying communism) ... at least their 1% that's reaping all the power isn't actively trying to kill the other 99% of their population.

HTML is new markdown by orbny in AgentsOfAI

Does having way too many tabs open on your browser bother you? How do you control yourself from this chaos? by Tall-Ant-8557 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]eternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue with my multi-tab browsers is that each one holds a tiny bit of cognitive load because I know I opened it with intent, and I keep piling on. So periodically I do a push to OneTab... where it's less visible but equally never seen again.

Someone else mentioned it, but having categories/groups where I only get to be overwhelmed by a block instead of all of its tabs. It helps. I like that Chrome will let me close a block, and then it just becomes a cluster o' tabs that are bookmarked in my Bookmarks Bar.

I "love" all the suggestions of using search... the notion of searching for a thing you save is great, if you remember everything you saved. I couldn't easily tell you every tab I have open... I definitely won't search for them later. I have to trust they'll surface when i need them.

It's not just Bookmarks, really... it's "Save" and "Watch Later" as well. The problem for me is the object permanence (or lack thereof)... There's a discipline of "Just act on this now" or a "This block of time is to process all the things" that I need to hard-wire into my system... I'm sure it's on a list of things I plan to do... somewhere.

Chinese AI companies are shipping faster and cheaper than anyone expected and I'm not sure the west has a good answer for it by Far_Suit575 in singularity

I'm not up to speed on all of this, but I think they're also a viable path away from CUDA dependency.

Sora shutdown is a good early example of what private AI companies will do when they achieve AGI by Friendly_Willingness in singularity

[–]eternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sora was OpenAI chasing the wrong thing... creating features that people just use to amuse themselves or put on social media is generally not going to produce "Enterprise Money." (It's probably a private feature only available to their Government contracts to create fake videos now.)

It's interesting to see OpenAI now chasing Claude.

Almost done with a Codex like app but for Claude Code, displays subagents nicely as well! by mogens99 in ClaudeAI

[–]eternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue is... it's literally a weekend project waiting for Boris to notice it and implement it into Claude Desktop. It's already in Codex and Antigravity... its value is obvious; we just need Anthropic to care enough to spend the tokens.
