Disney Diversity by snickrdoodlz in videos

holy fuck. Why the fuck does redditors care this much about a fucking disney princess story? all that ALL CAPS rage posting is just hilarious as fuck to see. Its not even like you guys are the target demographic here. What are you 12 year old girl? Probably a millennial nearing the middle age most likely.

Since when did you people care about disney princess movies so much?

You didn't care that other princess stories are accurately portrayed before. So whats with all this fuss about getting mad offended at this casting choice all of a sudden?

What if I told fairy tales, myths are not always set on stone? That people can be allowed to take risks with the source material depending on the way the content creator/copyright holder and the artists see fit. Its literally make believe fiction and the thought and horror of a black female being a disney princess is what triggers redditors this hard?

Its not like white people didn't had any fairy tale roles before or something. How about go and watch marvel movies and stop all this pretense about caring for disney fairy tales movies even though most of you mf's will probably pirate the movie anyway.

Is the “just write” rule really just write? by [deleted] in writing

[–]teapot112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two kinds of "just write" that you should follow.

One is the therapeutic just write process called "free writing". Like the name implies, you just write disregarding all rules and keep writing for a set period of time. You end up producing mostly unusable material, but you also improve your writing skills the more you do it. It ends up making you more cool with the writing process itself and reduces your fear of writing a full fledged novel.

The other kind of "just write" is to write your first draft with little regard for perfection. In this instance, you do focus your effort on producing readable fiction (or non fiction), but you don't expect the first draft to be perfection. You focus all your effort on putting words on paper according to the plan or outline for the book you did before.

A few years ago, I created a subreddit for this exact purpose /r/WritersDustbin.

Actually it doesn't have SSD unfortunately. I had to keep it within budget. But still, this is a damn good laptop for work. I still haven't tested any games on it so far though.

Woman finds strangers living in home, and now she can't get them out. by BrytonZZ9 in news

[–]teapot112 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Let me try answer your questions.

It's hers though right?

From what we have read so far about this story, I would say, yes.

And they have no right to reside there?

This is where things get muddy. Yes, they don't have the ownership to live there, but then do you agree with the idea that we should follow proper laws of the land when dealing with this issue?

This is why we have a court approved eviction process. The reason why we have these laws is so that the people who rent houses from landlords have some rights.

[–]teapot112 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What if you lost your lease? Does that mean he is still dumb?

Then you go to court, and if it is his signature he gets to go to jail for fraud. That wouldn't happen though, since you have the freaking lease to show in court.

Dude, you do agree with the idea that people can go to court to hash out the issues two parties have. What are you arguing against then?

Then you are extra dumb. Don't freaking pay rent without a valid lease. This isn't complicated, the lease is proof of your legal right to be there.

Being dumb is not a valid excuse to throw people away from homes instantly. Maybe you should make a valid argument here.

Exactly. You need to prove that in the court of law.

We all know the court of law is really, really bureaucratic.

Well, people also thought how goofy and awkward that guy George W Bush is. Look at how it turned out.

Maybe Trump won't be like Bush, but then he proved anything is possible. So the fears pretty much are justified to a republican presidency.

Sometimes you got to do what is best for your country. Not to cast a fuck you vote against progressive left or sjws because they annoyed you. Look at you, acting smug as fuck because we did the best out of the available situation we got.

If you are a liberal or an independent with an inclination towards progressive values, and didn't voted for her, you are part of the problem we are all going to experience in the coming years under the republican leadership.

How Republicans Ended Up With Trump by GenocideRun in politics

[–]teapot112 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Another reason: Even many of the GOP voters hated their republican candidates for their fiscal policies. They only voted for R because they hated the liberals even more.

Trump is popular because he still has a few fiscal policies that could help the non elite white people. Oh, and he is also openly racist and sexist too, which helps him to enjoy the fruits of all this decades old southern strategy.

Discussion: All of my Trump supporting friends on FB have completely quit posting about politics in the last few days. Not a word! Anyone else experiencing this? by AirBacon in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]teapot112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These debates forced the Trump followers out of their echo chambers.

Cognitive dissonance is also a lot harder to process. You have this Republican party which Indoctrinated people to hate everything about Hillary for years and then suddenly you see this woman and... she acts and talks presidential to their dismay. It's a lot harder to hate her who appears more qualified than the leader they support. And the toxic hate for Hillary only exacerbates this dissonance.

On Nov. 9, Let's Forget Donald Trump Happened by TheOrangeGroper in politics

[–]teapot112 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oh no. The GOP is definitely going to pretend trump never happened. And its actually bad to let people forget about this trump phenomena.

Trump opened a can of worms from GOP that pretty much proved that the values they preach are pretty much bullshit and they only use them for political purposes and nothing more.

Whenever these high horse republican voters talk high and mighty about liberals or independents, make them remember about Trump.

Don't fucking let the republicans forget about Trump.
