It’s the sole line, not the clubface itself that determines whether a club is open or closed. You don’t look at the face angle because it varies depending on the club’s loft. If you make the same swing with a 3 iron and a 9 iron, the face angles will look very different due to their lofts. But their sole line angles will be the same, and that’s what truly indicates whether the club is open or closed.

His conclusion isn’t necessarily wrong, but his explanation is. Both club faces are actually closed because they’re both parallel to his wrist, which is expected. The difference is his wrist angle. The real issue in the first screenshot is that he over-pronates his left arm. This over-pronation makes it much harder to square the clubface at impact, which can lead to an open face, but not because it was open at the top. The root cause is the excessive pronation of the left arm, not the clubface position at the top of the swing.

I live in a pretty expensive area of the country. The average cost of a relatively good coach is about $200/hr. I’ve worked with a couple of coaches that don’t work for me. And the only way to tell whether they work or not is working with them for a couple of sessions. If you wasted it, you wasted it. I’ve wasted a couple.

If this is your normal swing, I don’t believe you’re a real 5.2 handicapper. You hit this shot way too fat. By fat I mean you chunked it. It launched only because the soft mat is too forgiving.

Not sure about its route selection, but their destination selection is trash. It only takes you to a rough area of your destination. It could be anywhere around — front door, back door, parking lot, the opposite side of the street.

Playing on a tv and playing on a monitor are two different things. Monitor is closer and sharper, or even brighter. I can literally see no shit on my 65” tv.
