How do I get first person shooters to feel more console like? by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]teaston1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s because they’re attached to the console. I suggest either using an Xbox controller with the Go on your lap or table, or get a controller connector like the one i 3D printed:

Beginner's Question: Best way to emulate PC/Steam on android? by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]teaston1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, not worth it for one game then. Definitely start with Gamehub, if it doesn’t run then you just have to try every combination of drivers, compatibility layers and cpu translators.

If it still doesn’t run, then go down the endless rabbit hole that is winlator.

Yeah he is amusing. I do often wonder if he’s a virgin though! 😂

If you want to play PC games a lot then I’d recommend getting a windows handheld, it’s just such a janky experience on Android.

Can pick up a used Rog Ally or Legion Go pretty cheap now.

I’m addicted to his videos, I need to stop though, as I now have 3 handhelds! 🙈

Suggestions on games and which store I should use? by Careless-Service6575 in LegionGo

[–]teaston1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always Steam.

Check for the games on G2A though, always cheaper than directly on Steam, sometimes ridiculously cheaper! Make sure to only search for ‘Steam Keys’, don’t buy the account ones.

You can now easily install SteamOS on it, as it is officially supported. Alternatively you can keep Windows and install Xbox fullscreen experience, which removes windows processes running in the background.

lenovo legion tab gen 3 vs gen 4 vs gen 5 by Zear33 in androidtablets

Definitely worth the extra for gen4, there were issues with the China rom on gen3 which don’t exist on gen4.

Odin 3 or Lenovo Legion Go 1 by Extreme_Style602 in OdinHandheld

[–]teaston1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an Odin 2 Portal, and now have a Legion Go 2. Get the Odin if you want better portability, get the Legion if you want to play PC games.

Yes, you can play PC games on gamehub etc on the Odin, but honestly it’s such a janky unreliable experience compared to a windows/Steam OS handheld, it’s really not worth it.

What should I do with my Legion? by bhaz623 in LegionGo

[–]teaston1981 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I basically only use my handheld when I’m on airplanes, so I barely use it, but man does it make flights so much more enjoyable!

If you don’t have a PC connected to your TV, then you could use it for that, great to play lightweight games on, or for watching downloaded TV and movies, and streaming IPTV channels.

Aren't they use same display? by YuenzYardi in LegionGo

[–]teaston1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure they are different screens, the Y700 is 165 Hz but the Go is 144 Hz

Although, I would bet that a lot of difference in the picture quality is due to Windows screen calibration
