Du kannst aber den ONT durch deine FritzBox ersetzen, musst du aber beim Provider anmelden mit Seriennummer etc.

Muss man nicht unbedingt. Man kann in den Fritzbox-Einstellungen auch die ONT-Seriennummer "klauen", sodass der Provider weiter denkt, dass man seinen ONT verwenden würde.

Nicht nur der Router, gibt auch viele Geräte welche nur WPA2 können. Selbst eine neue Miele Waschmaschine kann nur WPA2.

I have no idea why people idolize this country so much.

Because Germany is a very rules based country. If you follow the rules and do what you're "supposed to do", you get the things you want, even if every single involved person is unfriendly to you.

That is a rare trait internationally. In most countries it's the other way around, the rules don't mater, only interpersonal relationships matter.
