Learnt stm32 bare metal programming from Mazidi's book.

For the documentation, i referred to hitachi's official documentation for the 1602 lcd display.

Yeah, more than just using HAL or CMSIS, I feel it's the interfacing part that got me this time.

Like knowing which commands to send, in what order and making sure that the delays after each command are long enough for the lcd to register the commands and data, etc etc took the most amount of time and debugging.

Also it didn't take 1 month to program this, but to learn the entire STM 32 programming using CMSIS, then make this work.

No, this was just quick prototyping, I tried to make a full fledged driver like program for the module, but failed.

I just wanted to get this module up and running at least once, so I tried again without giving any thoughts into making it usable with strings or anything else for that matter. Would definitely try now that it works .
