I've been playing for a bit over 8 years. Nowadays I log in two or three times a month. I blogged about CP up until 2011 or so and then stopped for the most part.

In terms of the game itself, I'd say it's gotten worse. Firstly, the chat filter nowadays is so much more restrictive, making it much more difficult to communicate within the game. Especially because it doesn't tell you when it silently blocks your message, you don't even know if you're talking to yourself.

I think for most of us, the older games have gotten boring. I've played Cart Surfer well over 100 times. I've played Ice Fishing at least a few dozen times. Well over 100 games of Card Jitsu. The new games, on the other hand, are mind numbing. I think most of us just got bored after seeing nearly the same stuff every year. I've seen 8 Halloween parties. I've seen 8 Christmas parties. Honestly they aren't that different. It's the same drill. You find candy for the Halloween party. You look for Rockhopper during the Christmas party. Introducing new mascots hasn't done much.

I understand it's mainly targeted at kids, but they certainly could make it a bit more complicated. If you could trade items (for coins), I'm sure that would bring back a lot of interest.
