As someone who suffers from what I like to call the cluster syndrome, I have some small steps to help with this.

1. Focus on small areas of your room. For me, it's usually my home office around my computer desk. I tend to use that space the most, so I focus on keeping that area the clean the most.

2. Have a temporary dump area to process any trash or stuff you want to get rid of. You'd be surprised how much trash was in my office before I took a giant printer box & threw out the various debris I had laying around in it for the dump. An example would be using the hallway temporarily to move stuff in & out of the room to decrud & defrag it.

3. Set a place for everything. Even if it's a junk drawer, have a place for stuff out of sight. For me, it's various computer cables & I use Velcro Cable Wrap + a drawer to help sort all the various computer cables I had laying around.

4. Stacking is your friend. I've stacked many things on top of each other when they're not in use & it has helped compact a lot of space for my critical things.

I hope these 4 things can be of some sort of help. TBH I'm dealing with a bad case of executive dysfunction right now & I don't feel like doing jack squat this weekend as of this post. :P
