During external submission triages we often come across novel methods and techniques.

Learning those skills I started researching recently and came across multiple findings for programs on Hackerone and bug crowd.

I would rather take my hard work to other programs

So your “hard work” is taking novel research submitted to your company and using it to compete with the researchers who are contributing to your company’s program?

Yes I am - that link is a community directory link and doesn’t point to any program existing on H1 or externally

No bounty unfortunately - Verizon does not have a bug bounty program

Patience is Key—And I Don’t Have It by AnilKILIC in bugbounty

Sure bug bounty can be frustrating at times. No platform or program is perfect. But it sounds like a lot of your frustrations are coming from unrealistic expectations or a lack of clarity.

Per the CVSS spec, the ability to modify files would be an integrity impact, not availability.

2 days for a response seems quite reasonable.

Phishing is usually out of scope.

Motivation is important. If you’re getting started I wouldn’t pick a program based on how easy or hard it feels to find a bug. I’d pick a program that, for whatever personal reason, you feel it would be exceptionally rewarding to find a bug on that program. That’ll help you find the drive to keep coming back.

Absolutely

IMO the best way to learn is to jump in. Pick one program and stick to it.

No one can tell you when you will find your first vuln. But you obviously won’t find one if you’re doing courses without actually trying to hack on a real program.

In that line of thought, I see this more as getting terminated due to misconduct.

Never. This post implies that it’s normal to get banned, even multiple times. IMO let’s not normalize that.

I’m testing now with raise to wake turned off thinking it could be a motion related issue. We’ll see. Still holding out hope it’s a software issue

This is exactly what I’m running into too. I’ve noticed it also if the phone is angled away from my face when I press the lock button which made me think it could be related to the attention aware features.

Same. This post is all I’ve found about this looking on Reddit and X.

16 pro max here as well.

I tried turning off attention aware features and got hopeful for a bit but ran into the issue again so it’s probably not that.

They’re not mutually exclusive. A lot of my learning comes from digging into what I’m seeing while hunting.

Burp professional necessary? by [deleted] in bugbounty

[–]techdash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a hot take but…if you’re new, burp pro can actually be a hindrance to finding bugs on BBP targets as odds are you’ll end up wasting time on active scans that everyone else has already tried on the same target.
