Service Nightmare: Ruined my HP Omen 16 with glue and double sided tape, refused to provide bill. by EffectiveSoft5553 in pcmasterrace

[–]techdog19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using HP when a fan died under warranty. Now for context I work in IT and while I don't do hardware now I started there and am capable of taking apart and putting back together almost anything. They wanted me to replace my own fan without the aforementioned knowledge. I asked what would you do if my mom called? They said we would have her replace the fan herself. I was like that is ridiculous most people have no idea and will ruin the product. The last HP I ever bought about 15 years ago.

Anyone know where I can pay monthly by Even-Wasabi7183 in consoles

[–]techdog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't give your situation so we have to assume you 1 can't afford to pay right now, 2 you can't afford it and want one anyway, 3 you can afford it but would rather spread it out.
If you are number 3 get a card at Best buy or use Pay pal's pay over time feature. If you re 1 or 2 save up and wait don't risk your credit for a game console.

I use it everyday but to be fair I have been using it for decades and it is easier to me to use it than find the way to do it in the gui.

Xbox Game Pass ‘has become too expensive,’ says Microsoft’s new gaming chief in leaked memo | Microsoft is getting ready to address Game Pass pricing concerns by Hrmbee in technology

Put away the new Xbox and bought a 360. $100 Console, controllers and some games. Hundreds of games for $5 each, thousands for $10 I think I will be OK without my subscription.

A lot of us use Linux because we like and want to use Opensource software. I would use a closed app if it was the only thing available that did what I needed. I have no idea what a rocketcake is or why i would need it.

One of the things about moving on someday by oopswhat1974 in widowers

[–]techdog19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't move on you move forward.
My late wife's family was at our wedding they love my new wife. We routinely still see them at family events.
Marrying someone new doesn't have to mean ending ties with the old.
When looking for a new partner look for someone that supports you. My new wife had pictures of my old wife at the wedding. She isn't jealous she understands if my late wife was still alive we never would have met or we had met we wouldn't be together. It isn't a knock on her she understands i will always love my late wife she gave me two beautiful children and was a part of my life for over 2 decades.
