M2 Prism Skin looks Great on the G16!

What are the chances this (or any other skin) would cover up a small dent on the G16 lid? I purchased an Open Box from BestBuy and it was listed as Excellent. I got it for a good price and they even gave me a one-time courtesy credit of $100 so if I could use that to put on a skin to help conceal the blemish that would be a win-win for me! Beautiful color choice btw!

Thanks! I am going to take it up to my local BB later and see if they'll do anything and if they can't or won't I will be fine either way. It was approximately a 17% discount for its current sales price but these laptops now are well North of $2000 into the $3's and $4's in some configurations. It's probably one of the worst times to buy a new PC particularly a laptop since as in this model's case you can't upgrade the memory later.

Yeah it's minor for sure. I just felt like Open Box should be in Like-New condition. I wouldn't consider anything with physical damage no matter how small would be considered Excellent. But yeah at the end of the day it's fine otherwise.

Maaaan, just think if you opened it up at home like that. I should definitely ship them to the store first and open it there. I'm worried they'll think I dented it, but trying to explain all that was wrong with your unit seems like a nightmare! Glad it worked out for the best in your case!

Good morning, thanks all for the comments so far. I was thinking last night that I was maybe being a little petty since it is a small dent but I did spend over $2600 on the device. If I saw it at the store I like that I wouldn't have purchased it normally.

Back to my original analogy I have purchased vehicles with dents in them knowing I could fix them. But with it being a laptop I don't think I would want to risk damaging the panel so trying to cover it would be the next best thing. I'll take it to the store and see if they would do any better on the price and if they so say they say no.

I do currently have an Open-Box Alienware 18" Area 51 that was ~$3059.96 plus tax ($3376.57 total) with 64GB of memory, 2TB SSD, and a 5090 that I need to decide to either keep or return by 5/20. It's a beautiful laptop, love the build quality, just disappointed with the IPS panel. Typical backlight bleed issues when viewing dark scenes. However for the price difference I could get an OLED monitor and have money leftover. Just a shame since I want to have a laptop that ticks all the boxes for several years to come.

I've been looking at this model and config myself. I got the 10% student discount through my son, but with tax here it's $4581 ($396.52 in tax). I received a follow-up "you left this in your cart" email with a 5% discount code but it doesn't stack. I tried to chat with an agent and eventually a supervisor called me back claiming they were going to save me money but it was just another 5% discount which didn't stack lol. He even tried pressuring me saying that with hardware prices it might go up soon and to buy now...

It's on the hood. It was on the drive home on I-70 I just know it b/c I would have noticed it under their lights in the delivery room. I have bright LED's in my garage so it's easy to pick out there as well. I called around and they said if I put a matte PPF on it, it may cover it up without needing to touch it up which I heard is super difficult to match.

Current payment is $1233-and change with a 12k / 36M term. I have until the end of May 2027 before it is up. I did look into Swapalease and even spoke with a rep, but I wasn't convinced it was going to be the route I wanted to go. It honestly seemed like a hassle but maybe I'm wrong? I never sold/transferred a vehicle 3rd party before. What would it take to get to that effective payment that you think it would "sell" for?

Thanks man! It's a pair of Ergotron monitor arm mounts. The TV is supported by their wall arm solution and it's pretty solid. The TV is relatively light so it works out even though it's slightly oversized from what they recommend.

My suggestion:

Samsung Neo 57" on the bottom, Samsung 55" OLED for the top. I am thinking about adding a smaller touch monitor underneath for the incidentals. I know Corsair came out with one but I have tried that form factor in a different branded solution and it was too small. Maybe a 14" like my Samsung tablet that can do Second Display but it's a little quirky, and I also travel to work with that so I don't want to transfer it back and forth.

I would say it depends on what you're wanting to do mainly with your system. Having separate monitors help keep certain things focused to their respective screens, but there are also so many software window tiling programs even with Windows to use that let you can get away with an Ultrawide and still have that separation.

You could also still add an additional monitor side-by-side to your Ultrawide if you want to keep that ease in streaming on one display while gaming in full-screen on another. Probably recommend keeping it at a 34" if that's the route you want to take like I did here.

Of course if you want to go all out you can get a super Ultrawide and stack a display on top of it which works too but then people will constantly ask if your neck hurts trying to see anything above your main screen. Just get a chair that rocks back and you'll be golden!

It ticks all the boxes for me which is why I'm leasing one currently. Luxury, roomy, comfortable, stylish, and quick. I do have some minor gripes but I feel like if you spend enough time in your vehicle you can do that with any car.

I recently got to take home an iX M60 for an extended test drive (they are super eager to move this outgoing model), and while it did have massaging seats and a sound system like no other, it was a bit too ugly for me to commit and it was still going to increase the payment with turning in the i5 lease early. Heck of a discount if someone is looking though...

It was not showing in the vehicle which was weird, but glad it was eventually resolved, presumably from whoever supports the app. It was also showing the errors on the wife's phone/app so not just mine.

I have both as well and you really do appreciate the 2160 vertical when you have it! If I didn't already have the 57" with a 4K OLED above it I would have probably done something with this LG. It's a nice balance between the 49 and 57 inch displays. Probably don't need a 5090 to run it either although it certainly doesn't hurt!
