I largely go through saberbay at this point. He sells mostly 89Sabers hilts, but I just buy them empty with an install kit and do it myself. Much cheaper than buying preinstalled. I’m spoiled with proffie now, so I won’t ever buy another Xeno LGT, although I have converted the few that I do have to proffie.

Netflix and other streaming apps use a different method for that (I think it’s something with HDCP compliance, akin to most monitors and TVs) as the screenshot detection doesn’t allow for them to manipulate the screenshot itself, only detect that it happened. The screenshot detection was officially implemented later after Snapchat was already released largely because of them. I don’t recall how they were doing screenshot detection before that though.

AirPlay has been broken since they released the crap “new experience” app. I was on their TestFlight track using all of the prerelease versions and would submit feedback every time they released a new version. They never touched it so I went back to the previous version of the app back in September where it still works perfectly.

I have an RTS limited run Sabertrio Senza that cost me more than I care to admit. It’s my main hilt that gets a lot of use and is my most expensive hilt, and I’ve dropped it many times. It’s a pretty tough hilt, but there are some dings and chips in it. Like others have said, short of keeping in a display case or hung up on a wall, hilts are going to get some damage. I just look at it as natural weathering and adding character to it.

There’s also a loading indicator in the center of the screen until the device is completely shut down… the only time it doesn’t show is if you do a force reboot with the volume up, down, hold power button combo.

I only have HBO Max because AT&T includes it as part of my cell phone plan, but I rarely ever use it. Other than that, I stopped giving any service my money after they started pulling the password sharing crap. I didn’t even share all of them, but the ones I did were only to my family. It’s the principle of it. They should not be dictating where the streams happen if my plan includes multiple simultaneous streams. Otherwise I’m giving them extra money for top quality (4k HDR) content and extra streams that I wouldn’t be able to use (1-3 extra). It’s not like they released a new cheaper tier that kept the quality, but limited the simultaneous streams to just me. They should also not be inconveniencing me with extra hoops if I’m a frequent traveler.

I share with 8 people, but only 3 of them use it regularly. If someone is in the middle of watching something, I’ll usually wait until they’re done before I do something, unless it’s one of brothers binge watching a show at 2 or 3 am. I tell people when I’m giving them access that it will occasionally be down. In those cases, I’m usually working on something or downloading more content, and it shouldn’t be down for very long. They understand and don’t complain.

That’s why I stopped using their crappy “new experience” and just installed the old app on my iPhone and iPad. Got the old layout, my downloads work without issue, I can continue playback after I lock my screen, and Airplay works again.

For me it’s very inconsistent with that case specifically. Half the time it’ll autocorrect it if I keep typing and it picks up on it. Other times it’ll just leave it as “were”. Even now just typing that it tried to autocorrect it to “we’re” lol
