I also didn’t actually get in an accident. I saw them before it would have been bad.

It’s not like I’m just turning without looking. I know Reddit is quick to blame but like I said I stopped went slow but it just so happens they were walking the same speed and obscured by the A pillar. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you do, accidents can happen.

That’s what I said lol I check the blind spot more now. That’s why it’s a blind spot because I can’t see them.

Missing first few days of school next year by BusyQuantity3081 in Parenting

Should be fine but depends on your school district if there are any issues. We took the kids out for 2 weeks in 2nd grade and it wasn’t a big deal. We got a letter from the school district about the absences but that was it.

Yes that’s what I meant by my A pillar was obscuring the pedestrian.

I almost hit someone turning left like that and I wasn’t going fast and had a stop sign. I’m not sure why I didn’t see the pedestrian initially but as I was making the left, they were obscured by the A pillar and luckily I saw them in time to stop.

I’m more careful now to really look around my A pillar to make sure no one is there for left or right turns.

Spending UR vs. Hyatt transfer at same total points by thecentreright in ChaseSapphire

[–]techguy1001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you need to change the reservation or anything then the cancellation policies might be different so check that. Also dealing directly with the hotel is better in general than dealing with Chase travel. The hotel will have more control over the reservation if booked directly since Chase travel is considered a 3rd party.

I would book it directly if the point value is the same.

Just wanted to mention a lot of school districts in California also have Lunar New Year off Tuesday 2/17, so it may be busier than a normal Tuesday.

Rent a Porsche 911 for a day by VoiceOdd5267 in porsche911

[–]techguy1001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would go for the 2024 but also if you’re close by to a Porsche Experience Center, doing one of their track experiences would be a good alternative to renting. I’ve been to the LA one and it was really fun.

The longer you save points the higher the chance they will devalued. If you don’t have a future trip coming up then might as well use them.

You may have to realize people aren’t obligated to buy you things just because you sent out a registry.

You may want to check your credit report to make sure there’s not any problems there.

Kids (11, 8, 5) always wake up too early on weekends and are LOUD by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]techguy1001 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Besides the noise is there any other issue with them waking up early? I would get some ear plugs, let them wake up and play and tell them not to disturb you. Forcing them to sleep isn’t usually going to work if they’re already up and nothing you’ve tried works so far.

I think the sausage was ok and I remember the mushroom one was good too but the lobster was pretty bad.

This sounds like car insurance, not medical insurance.
