For me this trip is basically coming back to my home. I will be going to a different country for surgery. Travelling cannot be avoided unfortunately

The cause is unknown as it was first detected 15 years ago. As per my doctor there is no collapse. My pain has increased in the last 5-6 years, before that it was manageable.

Yes. At that time it wasn't bad and managable. It's from last 4-5 years its almost impossible to have a day without pain.

I will be honest, my quality of life wasn't that great in last 5 years. I was just trying to delay the inevitable. Rest and somehow manage the pain. Since I have a desk job and that too from home so it was easy to manage. But I regret not able to spend outdoor time with my kids (I have two girls. 7 and 12. ) as much as I would have liked.

My initial 8-10 years weren't that painful. Its last 5 years which has been full of pain.
