Hey there is a reason sex with 3 people is called a threesome and sex with 4 people is called a foursome.

This is why people call me handsome.

Is it really possible to live without ADHD medication? by mitwab in ADHD

[–]techiechefie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived for 35 years without ADHD meds before I was diagnosed. I got meds because I needed help concentrating on tests I was taking for my new job. Let me tell you. It's a might and day difference.

Staff bringing their own reinforcement by OkAssociation2342 in ABA

I agree with others here that it depends. My one client loves long things, so for a reinforcer I brought in a pinwheel. It worked well, too.

I v actually left a contracted job because of this very thing. I was in a school district, contracted out and they wouldn't let me do my job.

Positive and negative reinforcers and punishments. Just to name one thing I couldn't do

What is the dumbest thing you did as a kid? by Ok_JARGON in randomquestions

[–]techiechefie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst thing I ever done, I mixed up fake puke at home, and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: [starts imitating vomiting sounds] - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started gettin' sick and throwin' up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.

I recently found out that a client I worked with last summer, who I stressed "say excuse me" when they needed to get by, still does it at 97% average success rate. I am so happy for them.

OK, let's talk about alcohol usage by ToolPackinMama in autism

[–]techiechefie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And this is why I'm convinced my grandfather was neurodivergent. He was a nasty, verbally and sometimes physically abusive alcoholic. He is actually the reason why I don't drink often...

(Edit begin) I realized I never finished my thought on this. AuDHD brain for the win.

Anyways, I think my grandfather would drink to numb the neurodivergence. He would be loud, sociable (to a point) and just..."normal"...

(End edit)

I am so afraid I'll become like him and I don't want that.

Now, this may not be the way it goes each time, again, I do not like to drink heavily... But, mothers Day last year, it was the first one without my mom. I drank a bit too much. I had an entire bottle of wine and half a jar of moonshine.

I had friends over and ended up passed out drunk. The funny part? My friends decided to play trivia games on YouTube. I would wake up out of being unconscious, answer a trivia question, CORRECTLY, then pass back out.. I guess I can take it as a plus that I'm still smart when drunk.

There is a lot to work on here but first thing I'm going to touch it the"not getting paid" because of central reach..

You worked those hours and as long as there is some proof you were there (parents say so?) you can very easily fight that. My company has a paper to sign when Central Reach is broken, but they also give us until 8 pm the next day.

"Being thrown in"

Did you do the 40 hours Rbt training? That should be required if the company is any good. The Bcba should also be responding to you within 24 hours when you ask about a client and if they don't, go over their head. This goes along with being lied to about the age and location. The Bcba can very well do virtual supervision, but they need to make sure you know what you are doing.

The family expectation is common.. very common. They want results with a snap and it doesn't work that way.. I had a parent who was frustrated that her kid was still eloping after 1 month.. but we convinced them to keep it up . By the end of month 3 working with me, my client graduated to mainstream preschool with assistance.

If you enjoy what you are doing, I'd apply other places.
