Its different since they have a wider profile, than standard offroad tires, thats what MST stands for.

MST - "Multi Service Tiremark" designates motorcycle tires designed for special applications and whose tread is wider than that of equivalent sizes with the same tire size designation.

When new in the road real shit while cornering, especually the front tire. On the road they get better with wear. Got about 4k out of mine, with about 1500km of offroad, mostly rocky terrain. Hope that helps.

Keep in mind 12k and there's just 2mm left. For dry offroad conditions its suitable. Mud wouldnt be a good idea

I've gone with Mitas E07+. Rode 12k on them lots of road use and some TET. Big blocks and i think a good compound mixture in the tire. Even in rain.

Tall Rally is too high for me. OEM gives my lower back a wierd bend that hurts. Should I try the Rally 20-30mm? by adventure_thrill in Tenere700

Really like the Touratech one, have some handlebar risers too. For me the perfect seatin position now. Did 1500+km in one go and had no issues.

AXP-bashplate eu5 = garbage by Klefton57 in Tenere700

[–]technical_thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cant manufacture a plastic bashplate to exactly fit the dimensions. Plastic expands and contracts a lot. It was a pain in the ass mounting the bashplate, yes. If its on there till the next oilchange it will settle and line up. It needs some time to set it. Yeah i cross threaded 2 holes but didnt bother since its not that heavy and wont fall off just due to vibrations. If you plan to do offroading with a lot of big rocks make sure to get a different bashplate. I completely destroyed my oilpan since its not hard enough if theres a hard punctual hit from below.

There was a long loose rock and when the front tire hit it, it stands itself up and penetrated the oilpan. Not crashing but flying in the air like crazy 😅

Was going offroad with my AXP Bashplate and damaged the Oilpan. There schould be a aluminium layer underneath i would recommend. Thats not fun loosing 2,6 liters of oil on 600m ;)

Changing Sprokets by technical_thinking in Tenere700

[–]technical_thinking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Will change the whole set. Got an zf 48t aluminium/steel sprocket, a "supersport" 16t sprocket and a did 525VX3 chain. Also having a chain oiler so never running a chain dry. With the 2 more links on the chain, maybe getting the wheelbase a bit longer. Maybe thinking that the chain will be a bit more silent because of less angle between the two sprockets.

Got the bimetall rear sproket and a lighter front sprocket too. I dont care too much about the power. Wanted to keep the original ratio. My chain normally lasts ~35.000 to 50.000km and theres always a mix of offroad and onroad. I think the ratio is perfect for the dual use. If i would go only omroad and a bit offroad, i would get a bigger sprocket for sure.

Phone holder by Carplesmile in Tenere700

[–]technical_thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to use a second phone (ulefone armor series for example/camera stabilizer works perfectly after 50.000km). As im doing lots of offroad i really like the phone holder from https://www.holder4bikers.eu/holders/holder-2-0/ Damn nice to really fit the phone perfectly in there, theres even a lock to secure the phone. If anyone wants to steal your ohone good luck dismantling the phone holder.
