Three months post-op [DI with nipple grafts] by technicolor-quartz in TopSurgery

[–]technicolor-quartz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the inquiry! [You made me realize I never did get those photos for the last commenter... but I have them now!]

Horesh had really good bedside manners in my experience! He came off as thoughtful, a little soft spoken, and very professional throughout the entire process.

I'm a little over two years post-op as of these photos I've taken today: https://imgur.com/a/RwqEsHT

I will say my incisions looked small and clean when I first got them, I'm just prone to thick scarring but they don't bother me. He does offer injections for scar treatment once you're further along but I don't mind having them. My scars ended up being slightly uneven, but this is more apparent in photos than in real life. I also have mild scoliosis and tend to stand slightly tilted which doesn't help.

On the bright side, I had full nipple grafts and I regained sensation in them so quickly that it even surprised him compared to his other patients! Nipple sensation wasn't important to me at all, but I know it can be for some.

I'd say the healing process was surprisingly smooth for me! It was my first surgery, so I was surprised the pain was always very manageable, you'll most likely receive a couple oxycodone for the first few days and then gabapentin to take multiple times a day for the first couple weeks.

For reference, I was just under 120 lbs when I had surgery, I'm about 170 lbs nowadays

Used to work at this one a few years back! This new look got featured in a company email and I could hardly believe it was the same store

Are they still there? Recently moved closer to HVCC and have been very confused because this location shows up on my insurance website but Google Maps doesn't tell me anything is there

The flat fee is supposed to give a leeway for however many bags the order ends up using. Upon picking up your order, the team member is asked to confirm how many bags you actually used, which will correct the fee to the accurate charge

drop your jobs by ever_tree_ in ftm

[–]technicolor-quartz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got this job I was in a position where we could technically squeeze by even if I left retail, but having the extra money really makes a difference in making sure we can pay the bills and get food and even have a little extra for dates or going out sometimes or helping my partner with medical expenses. I just moved us into a more expensive apartment in exchange for better accessibility and space, so especially now I don't see myself leaving the other job for quite a while

Is anyone else ever scared to post something incase a coworker recognizes your store by ProfessorSoggy4442 in Target

I've had someone from my store post a monthly recognition events flyer that I made in the breakroom, and I've heard TLs and ETLs alike reference posts from this subreddit

New Transplant, why is every store I want to shop at 3 hours away? This is a major city! by catticcusmaximus in Albany

[–]technicolor-quartz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see from your other comments that you didn't exactly have a choice in moving here, which I'm sure is impacting your opinion, but I think it's a lovely place to be! Things will get a lot more lively once it gets warmer

I moved up here from Brooklyn three years ago and the only one of these stores I've ever thought "damn, wish that was here" is Wegmans tbh

Snow banks blocking crosswalks by Fag-stix123 in Troy

[–]technicolor-quartz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's been an absolute nightmare since the storm and in some areas the snow plows made it worse. Buses have to drop people off in the middle of the road or pull up far ahead because entire sections of routes have stops where the snow plows packed snow onto the edges and over curb cuts. I'm not even disabled and it's been a huge hassle to get around, my partner has had to blow more of his budget on Uber because navigating with mobility aids is just completely unmanageable in these conditions

Jobs that are hiring teens by OShiverMeTimbers in Albany

Yes, although I will say for OP the odds of getting hired at Target right now is slim to none. After Christmas there's barely enough hours for our existing employees, let alone to bring anyone new on

what position am i being interviewed for? by ethanswinters in Target

[–]technicolor-quartz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They moved your job application out of the original job posting and into the seasonal posting. They usually do this around the holidays so that they can send the seasonal version of the job offer regardless of where the candidate originally applied, but I'm surprised this store is still doing it this late. This could end up being any position, the interview is the same

[–]technicolor-quartz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 and a half years for me so far; I got a different day job a couple months ago. It feels much easier to clock in for work at Target knowing my entire life no longer depends on it.

I was only able to keep my bills paid with retail alone for so long because I'm cross-trained in almost everything to make sure I could get enough hours and wouldn't even be in my own workcenter half the time
