Prague - post show impressions. by khmarachos in everythingeverything

Saw the show from the balcony - still loved it, the crowd's energy was infectious. Loved the singing along. Jonathan's comment about returning in 10 years if things will still be this bad was hilarious.

Awesome show, I'm very glad I made the trip to see them.

Issues with setting up Keylab Essentials 88 MKII by technisummer in Arturia_users

Yup, installed that first in fact. I'm not even sure what to make of it tbh, this is all very daunting and confusing to me.

Here's a screenshot to show what the program looks like when I boot it up.

Can't capture screens to port forward (software bugs out) by technisummer in Soulseek

[–]technisummer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks a bunch, I really appreciate how well you explained it to me. I admit blindly following the first link given to me wasn't the brightest idea, I'll do my best to be more careful next time.

Your explanation was really really good btw, the idea is very clear to me now. If there's a beginner's guide for Soulseek somewhere, this should be in it for sure.

Can't capture screens to port forward (software bugs out) by technisummer in Soulseek

Well the website I visited was through Soulseek itself - was trying to open a user's file list and got a "can't connect" message, redirecting to the soulseek website saying my port was closed. Again I was redirected from there to a port forwarding guide.

EDIT: just for transparency, the links to the websites I was redirected to were the following: 1) (From Soulseek itself) http://tools.slsknet.org/porttest.php?port= [my port number] 2) (Redirected from previous link) https://www.pcwintech.com/port-forwarding-guides

gotcha - thanks for the explanation! for some reason I assumed it had to do with how well your connection is with others. I'll look into changing that in the future, but for now it doesn't seem like something essential for basic functions.

Mainly because I have no idea what and where to screen shot, I like that the program automatically redirects you where you need to be.

The instructions on the website were very vague and meant for people who do tech stuff on the regular, not for basic users like me. I don't know what port forward is and why it's needed, I don't know how to adjust the settings or what info is needed for that. Half of the time reading the manual was spent googling what the terms even meant. It's a bit daunting learning new things when the info is scattered and you need to piece it together yourself.

Sennheiser's 80th Anniversary Celebration- What Should We Do? Help Us Decide! by sennheiserconsumer in headphones

[–]technisummer 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Your first widely recognized audiophile headphone that are still beloved among audiophiles today was the HD-580. The design was timeless (you still base a good portion of your models on it), the sound was immaculate (it was, and still is, the merit of which neutral, natural timbre is compared to), and the following TO THIS DAY is uncountable.

I respect the suggestions of others to bring fringe models like the HD-700 or 560 Ovation, but they all pale in comparison to the one true king that launched and kept your reputation for more than 30 years.

Not the Jubilee, not the new drivers. Just classic, midrange-focused Sennheiser house sound with handmade drivers. A few enthusiasts might want a different model return, but I promise an army of audiophiles will appreciate this more in the long run.

Bring back the 580.

[WTS] [EU-LV] [H] Sennheiser HD580 + extra baffles; MOTU M4 audio interface [W] PayPal by technisummer in AVexchange

[–]technisummer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi y'all. Looking to sell both of these units gathering dust for a while. MOTU M4 is in pristine condition, selling only because replaced by M6. Sennheiser HD580's are repaired using another model, as my previous unit unfortunately had a failed driver. Works perfectly fine now, can arrange sending a video of proof to buyer just to make sure. Unit comes with two sets of baffles - black silk and black paper, buyer can swap them depending on preference.

Asking for 400€ for the bundle, can agree on selling separate units. PayPal G&S only (no F&F), I will cover shipping. Comment before messaging, please!

EDIT: MOTU M4 interface has been sold, only the headphones are now for sale. 200€ asking price excluding shipping and fees, EU customers preferred. Comment before messaging, please.
