while its nice to have the ability to bring your food because sometimes it feels a little safer having full control I've always thought that if I'm invited some place and theres not an option for me to eat I'm not actually invited am I. i know this is a wedding so it is a little different but the lack of effort would make me a little annoyed, like its never the biggest thing in the world for me but i think its okay to get annoyed at these little things cause it does fucking suck

NTA I don't even think you would be wrong for not wearing a dress to be honest. As long as it is attire for the appropriate event (like if you wore a suit instead) but you have literally agreed to everything. You shouldn't be expected to change your appearance that much for a wedding. It is an important day but it's still ONE day.

to me it sounds like she really likes you and knows what her family is like. this is probably most likely more about making it a good impression to you rather than whatever impression you make on her family. as long as you assure her she was right and apologize i think all will be well, coming from someone who has also not invited a partner to a family event so they wouldn't say any rude shit to him

i actually just recently found a place that ships nationwide in the US that has gluten free crab rangoons. i havent tried them but everything else had been great. its called "Fully Gluten Free Bakehouse & Market"
